The military backed dictatorship regime is drowning Fiji into debt.
An analysis of the recently announced budget reveals that the regime will borrow almost $500 million next year.
This domestic borrowing is likely to be from the Fiji National Provident Fund.
The debt level and a host of other measures were not announced by the regime's dictator Frank Bainimarama when he handed down the 2010 Budget on Friday 27th November.
A scrutiny of the budget also reveals that the Fiji Police Force blew its 2008 budget by more than $10 million in 2008. The Police was allocated a little over $70m but spent more than $80m.
Sources say under the leadership of Esala Teleni, the Police blew its budget because of the Police Crusade and diverting funds towards the activities of the New Methodist Church led by his younger brother Atu Vulaono.
We reported earlier this year that 70 percent of the costs for the hire of buses to transport church members to Sunday worship was being paid for by the Police Force.
Since October this year, Teleni has been ordered by Bainimaramna not to involve the Police in New Methodist Church activities.
Sources say the Police would have busted its budget by a much higher figure because Police Crusade activities had gained intensity.
