Dictator's prosecutor fails to have Ro Kepa remandedFiji prosecutors yesterday failed to get the courts to restrict the movements of Rewa's paramount chief, Ro Teimumu Kepa.
Ro is accused of trying to organise meetings of the Methodist Church in her home province despite an order from the junta leader, Voreqe Bainimarama.
She has been in and out of court several times this year as prosecutors try to make the charges stick.
The latest application yesterday to the magistrates Court in Suva for her to be remanded was rejected.
State prosecutor Nanise Ratakele also failed to get the court to agree Kepa had violated bail conditions established at an earlier hearing.-Original story and picture from the Fiji Times
