Iron Lady Ro Kepa free to walk around her native Fiji

Dictator's prosecutor fails to have Ro Kepa remanded
Fiji prosecutors yesterday failed to get the courts to restrict the movements of Rewa's paramount chief, Ro Teimumu Kepa.

Ro is accused of trying to organise meetings of the Methodist Church in her home province despite an order from the junta leader, Voreqe Bainimarama.

She has been in and out of court several times this year as prosecutors try to make the charges stick.

The latest application yesterday to the magistrates Court in Suva for her to be remanded was rejected.

State prosecutor Nanise Ratakele also failed to get the court to agree Kepa had violated bail conditions established at an earlier hearing.

She is the only chief if Fiji that has shown that she stands for democracy.
If a women can do that, my question is where are the men.
I know men are made of sterner stuff but alas they have all disappeared and burried their heads in the mud, what a shame.
If we are to achieve Democracy then we must stand and fight for our rights, its never too late so lets take the que from this Lady Ro Temumu Kepa.
You don't need guns, you have to be united in peaceful protest to achieve a better Fiji.
So the vanua and the church must unite with the common people to do what is best for Fiji.

Herein lies Bainimarama's great unseen danger for traditional Taukei society.

Of 3 Confederacy leaders - Ratu Naiqama is virtually exciled in Taveuni - Ro Kapa is under constant harassment in Suva - Ratu (Roko) Joni is exciled in the Solomons.

Strange & conflicting behaviour from someone (family) who insist on being called Ratu's?

I'm sorry to say that the
men (with exception of a few) hide behind pseudonyms and the guns of the military.

We need more women at the helm of leadership in this country and they must assert themselves for what they're equally entitled to as citizens of this country.

Now, if they could only, at least in the immediate term, try to look beyond the barriers imposed by their culture, ethnicity, class, religion and other nonsensical impediments that keep them suppressed and subservient and reach out and support other women - they could easily replace those guys who don't deserve to be in Parliament in the 1st place.
