Fiji prosecutors drop charges against Ro Kepa

Charge dropped
After months of trying to make it stick, Fiji's public prosecutors have withdrawn the charge of conspirancy to disobey an unlawful command against Marama Roko Tui Dreketi, Ro Teimumu Kepa.

The decision was announced today by the  Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the story has been running in the Fiji media.

It's believed the charge was dropped on Monday.

Prosecutors alleged that last year between July 12th and July 29th, Ro Kepa conspired with Methodist Church Ministers to host the annual Methodist conference in Lomanikoro in Rewa despite orders from self-appointed prime minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, not to hold the conference.

  1. Not surprising at all, what a waste of time and money, You cohorts have really hurt the innocents and cause multiple embarrsments for the Marama. A real chief who is principled and honourable - God knows the truth and is a God of righteousness & justice. For those that conspire, shame on you.

  2. Frank Bainimarama should be tied up, his feet placed in concrete and thrown over board for the disgusting way he has treated this Lady and others in his community.
Why are Fijians so scared of this bloody coward ?
Even i know that you treat people of her standing with dignity and respect and I'm not even a Fijian.

  5. Roko Ului & the 2 Epeli's thorugh their Mara connection had a hand in this.

If she had gone to jail Voreqe and Khaiyum would not have a job.

  6. I know that this is not what the GMB RTD wants , but for the sake of justice lets turn the tables around and sue those who drummed up this false accusations and put them where they rightfully belong, in prison.

  7. That's because Bainimarama is not a chief..why can't the people of Fiji do something about this clown and get rid of him for good. He has done so much damage to Fiji, and the people are suffering. He thinks he's tough but to be honest he's scared what hw will get when he leaves the military.

  9. Sorry Man - What Khaiyum says goes. Even Voreqe, the Military Council and Commisioner of police have to take orders from him.

Voreqe just like Rabuka before him and all their dumb military men and women are being used by bigger players for their own benefit.

The only power that Voreqe has is his speed running through the tavioka patch and even Bolt would not have been able to catch him with all that shit coming down his trousers.
