Regime bites: 'No split in the Military'

THIS DUET IS A FLOP: Bainimarama and Sayed Khaiyum.

“I am aware of where those critics are coming but I know for a fact that everybody is together in the military," he told FijiLive. "No, I doubt that there’s a split in the military."

In recent days, Coupfourpointfive has publicised information that shows disillusionment of Bainimarama's flawed leadership reaches the highest echelons of the military regime.
We have revealed that the regime is fragile and senior officers have woken up to the fact the self-appointed military government of Bainimarama and Aiyaz Sayed Kahiyum is a sham and want out.

Tikoitoga today continued to prop up the regime defence lines, denying there were more criticisms than praises.

He told FijiLive: "There’s a few that goes on blog sites and we can’t take those people seriously but the Commander when he moves around to villages and other areas, he gets a lot of praises for this government and what it has been doing.

"You know the civilian community are coming out strong and saying there is a better government than what it was before.”

Tikoitoga went on to claim that even some provinces are now calling for the cancellation of the 2014 elections saying it's indicative of the support the illegal government enjoys.

Everybody in Fiji loves bhaini gaddafi - thats why we have a PER and a military that belts the crap out of anybody who doesn't recognise ther love.
The anti bhaini people who started the rumour that elections will be held in 2014 should be rounded up by the military and dealt with until they confess their love!!

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Our Great Leader did this or produced election figures saying 99% voted for him. These are the hallmarks of all dictatorships.

Being there done that, by hook or by crook the military will always find a way to win every point.
Also everyone will support the institution they are working because that is where they get bread and butter.

What a joke! The illegal regime's lying machine is drying up. They'll end up shooting themselves in their pants.

The call for no election in 2014 by certain provinces is easy to evaluate or substantiate. A refrendum would certainly tell the world what the people of Fiji want...thereafter the Vore will have to abide by it.

But ass ole is smart enough to know that and will never put such absurd staements to the test.

Everybody loves Frank and Aiyaz, that's why they get around with 3, 4 wheel drives with tinted windows at any one time and bodyguards with ear pieces so they can communicate with the guards inside the vehicles so Frank can make his escape if he is under threat of attack.

i wonder what Baini has been feeding the provinces..possible all our money just to secure his escape in the end....cancellation of the election is just a bloody excuse....and if its does happen then one only can imagine what these bastards will to to the country..

Who is Provincial Council to give any opinion about whether to hold not not hold elections in 20914?

Under PER they should be taken to barracks for discussing politics as it is illegal to hold meeting to discuss this under current times.

Come on Aiaz, take them in!!!

Sack them for talking about elections, they are govt machinery and not one to be involved in politics.

Their opinion is illegal.

Where are Ului and Driti if there is no split? Tikoitoga has no clue. The mistakes of Nov 2 will not be repeated. It will all unfold soon, ha, ha, ha.

Enjoy while you can, Mr Tikoitoga. Even the cassava patch wont save you treasonous lot this time around. Go take a look at the armoury and do a stocktake. Good luck, and may God save you.

You don’t have to be surprised at all it’s the facts and it’s irrefutable besides I think the figure is more like 89.99% of the Fijian population who supports him now thats not a bad average with the other 10% dissenting or are voices in the wilderness.

So you are admitting that Frank is a dictator with no intention of holding elections or fulfilling any of his promises?

You should read what you post before you click Jake.

Oh and another point Jake - if it wasnt already obvious - if Frank really did have popular support he would have gotten rid of the PER and media restrictions long ago.

Their censorship and general paranoia are symptomatic of their own lack of confidence in what they promise and say.

They know they are unpopular and incompetant.

But then again, if they really were confident in their popularity, security and policies like you say they are, they wouldn't be the incompetant bunch of idiots that they are right?

Whats your response? My bet is you have none.

What else did you expect him to say? Control the media you can say anything you want - including traditional Taukei are increasingly in favour of canceling proposed elections?

Turaga's of the 3 confedracies definately don't differ on this one.

Let me ask you were you present at Albert Park? How many of your fellow travellers were there? With the lack anti regime supporters there to protest it is indicative of the level of support Frank is enjoying with the minority being the most vociferous.

As for the PER it’s there more so for your protection than the Military.

“Their censorship and general paranoia are symptomatic of their own lack of confidence in what they promise and say”

Don’t expect miracles from a military the censorship you speak of would be referring to the newsprint and radio medium is this not right well if it is than the military did the nation a great favour in controlling this medium.

All one has to do is look into some of the journalists background to understand why they were curtailed.

“They know they are unpopular and incompetent”

This would be a matter of opinion wouldn’t it?

The people along with their respective chiefs have spoken and to date they are very pleased with Frank’s government who am I to argue with the masses.

“But then again, if they really were confident in their popularity, security and policies like you say they are, they wouldn't be the incompetent bunch of idiots that they are right”

Again it’s a matter of opinion depending on which side of the fence you sit as me this regime is the lesser of two evils the SDL being the most evil.

“What’s your response? My bet is you have none”

Nothing much really except we all want the immediate restoration of our Democratic rights and to a certain extent the rule of law.

"the lack anti regime supporters there to protest it is indicative of the level of support Frank is enjoying"

No. It is indicative of the amount of Police and military present in Suva at the time. Do you enjoy being beaten up and threatened? Perhaps. What it IS indicative of is the level of mistrust that the regime has for the people and the fear that this generates in its leadership. Peaceful protest is one way - but there are others. The regime is scared and is painting itself into a corner.

"Don’t expect miracles from a military" - Noone expects miracles Jake.

But we do expect teh regime to do SOMETHING. Perhaps even deliver on its promises?? It is easy to rule by decree and censoring the media allows their incompetance to flourish without criticism. How can you defend this? If they were hard working and really set on meeting their goals, a free media would help them.

"“They know they are unpopular and incompetent”
This would be a matter of opinion wouldn’t it?"

Not opinion. Reality. Censorship reflects this reality. Use basic logic Jake - it isnt a difficult proposition - if they were so popular, they wouldn't need censorship.

"who am I to argue with the masses."

Without wanting to be unkind Jake, you seem to be the type of person that would excuse the excesses of this regime to justify your own one-eyed interests. Once again, if the regime really did have popular support, they would go to the polls. They won't because they don't. 1+1=2 Jake.

"we all want the immediate restoration of our Democratic rights and to a certain extent the rule of law."

To a certain extent? What "extent"? Less arbitrary arrest and beatings? Respect for basic human rights? A judiciary that functions with independence? I doubt the honesty of your statement. Further I assume that you have very little knowledge of what is actually going on.

You don't live here Jake - your lack of empathy and irrelevant comments about how "popular" the regime is to you, is honestly, quite stupid.

You live in NZ and accordingly, are insulated from the day-to-day effects of what the regimes incompetance and corruption has on the country.

You don't have to deal with it and have very little concept of the ongoing ramifications - if you were in Fiji, you would be like everyone else I know - worried for the future.
