Fiji's Prisons chief under investigation for denouncing regime

DOBBED IN: Lieutenant-Colonel Ieferemi Vasu.
Sour feelings over missing funds appear to have led to a fall out between the police commissioner, Ioane Naivalurua, and the Commissioner of Prisons, Ieferemi Vasu.
Informers say Naivalurua has ordered Vasu be investigated after the latter lost his temper and accused Naivalurua of taking 'vaulable resources' from the prisons to the police force.
Vasu is reported to have flown into a rage while Naivalurua was in China and accused senior prison officers, including the assistant commissioners, of covering up the former Commissioner's monetary dealings.
He is said to have yelled: "This government is illegal and all acts are illegal," during his tirade.
A spy told Naivalurua, who then reported it to the dictator, Frank Bainimarama. Naivalurua also ordered that everyone who was at the incident be interviewed; the findings will be  presented to Bainimarama.
Naivalurura's detractors say there was  widespread misuse of the prison poultry farm earnings while he was running the prisons. They say no records were kept and that about  $150,000, disappeared into thin air.
Critics also claim he snaffled valuable documents such as the Yellow Ribbon Projects and took them to the FPF to make himself look good. They say he is now using Vasu's 'illegal regime' comments to cover his tracks.

  1. Pack of cards are crumbling. The illegal dictatorship structure will self innihilate, there will be internal war for self preservation of individuals rather than for the good of the country. In the quagmire the country will suffer a great deal.

Mark my word blood will be spilt. The conflict is now at the top of the pyrimid, amongst senior staff which makes it very destabilising to the whole illegal dictatorship and potentially destructive.

Where the public can, we should stoke the fire to fan the flames to highten the conflict and bring about its end. The only language these thieves understand is force and violence, so let us fan it by spreading information about whats happening and corruption in particular.

  2. Good on you Mr Vasu. God knows what you are doing and where you stand.
Even when Voreqe and Naivalurua bully you. Remember that someone greater than them is on your side.God is on your side and I am praying for you.

  3. God is with you Ifereimi.
    Be Strong!

  4. Meo, so much for the high flying General Ratu Naivalurua, he is just a farce like you.

  5. @Jieke...I love you full speed...cava na noqu cala??..I have NOT commented on this stream, yet...but, mmmm…ok..remember our Boy Scout days, when we compete who light the camp fire? ..and you always win….

  6. @Meo

Just reflecting on your favourite boy that you touted as the best thing to come along to Prison and Police.

I had great respect for the guy in his early days at the military, but all that has gone down the drain. Power certainly corupts and the ginger haired one is no exception.

    Adios Meo

  7. Vinaka kai -just afew good army piggies we might be able to rely on to rid on these bullies.

  8. Notice how emaciated the inmates in the photo are, Bocimarama and his illegal band of rulers should be given the same treatment. Just give them a mat and let them sleep on the floor.

  9. @yet, another faceless and nameless coward who loves my name..tonite your own tivoro will get you oh..faceless one..so repent before your heart beats at 100bpm.....

  10. Semi Meow you faceless coward..by the way come back to Fiji and voice your opinion boci.

  11. Isa my OB Vasu was a well mannered, obedient, god fearing and law abiding student at Lodoni. He now realised that his good upbringing and clear conscience have been compromised because he decided to follow his boss rather than his professional ethics. It's now too late too show your frustration OB as the rot and the damages that you helped created have spread rapidly like recurring cancer. You might as well continue on 'cause your fellow hit squad are watching you closely as we speak...as the saying goes in those guillotine days,"Rai ki wai mate ga"....

  12. It is as clear as the setting sun that the i taukei continues to be manipulated by all and sundry. fourpoint five is but a front, read the fine print and language and it is clear that someone else is mouthing off.

  13. my momma said "always look a man in his eyes when shaking his hand"

  14. Does anyone recognise the person trotting at the back of Vasu....
