Senior officer in Bainimarama regime: 'We all hate the dictator'

"We all hate the Dictator, we despise him and his little stupid puppet and all they stand for. We are all military men, but that means we know right from wrong. Like a super-virus the dissent will spread. Col Mara has taken the first step for others to follow."

That's the revelation of a senior officer in the illegal military government of Frank Bainimarama and Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum and it comes as the regime struggles to fool the world it's on top of everything.

We can assure readers that our highly-placed officer, who we will call The PS Who Well Knows The Puppet and Taliban Puppet Master, is in a position to talk about Bainikhaiyum and reveal how much they're hated.

We will divulge more inside information in time but can say now that the words of our disgruntled  senior officer shows how much Bainimarama has alienated the men who helped him carry out the illegal coup in 2006.

Our inner sanctum source says he and fellow senior officers stopped supporting the RFMF Commander and the illegal Prime Minister some time ago, because he sold them and the 2006 cause out.

The PS Who Well Knows The Puppet and Taliban Puppet Master, says the campaign now is "to be rid of the drunk puppet and the puppet master Taliban at any cost."

He says Roko Ului Mara is taking the lead and carrying out what he described to Coupfourpointfive as "the greatest risk he could take" to show officers the way to go.

And in the most revealing of words, The PS Who Well Knows The Puppet and Taliban Puppet Master, said this: "Betrayal is the only truth that sticks."

Editor's Note: The regime yesterday extended its arrest warrant for Roko Ului Mara to August 3. Also in the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday, the lawyer for Pita Driti asked for full disclosure as prosecutors tried to move the case to the High Court. Prosecutors have been given two weeks to file the disclosure.

Fiji fuming over NZ sanctions
• From: The Australian
• May 26, 2011 12:00AM
THE Fiji Rugby Union says travel sanctions imposed by New Zealand since a 2006 military coup in the Pacific nation will prevent it naming its best team for the World Cup later this year.
Union chairman, Fiji land forces commander Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga, has called on the International Rugby Board to intervene and pressure New Zealand to drop the sanctions, which prevent members of the Fiji military from visiting New Zealand.

The Government won't relax travel sanctions against Fiji to avoid potential problems with the Rugby World Cup tournament, Prime Minister John Key says.

I trust C 4.5. Their source WILL be protected. No-one out there knows who the PS is and they won't. At this point, there is probably so much dissention in the ranks that the AG/PM (yeah, I like that order better!) would have to go after most of their own troops. Are their camps big enough to torture citizens and the majority of their own troops?! Will this mean that the AG/PM will have to carry out the tortures themselves because of a lack of manpower?

When will the last straw occur? Hopefully, soon. Very soon.

Hopefully, our army is waking up and recognizing who the real enemy is. If they don't act as a unit, the ones with consciences will be picked off one by one as has happened to date.

THEY have to be the ones to restore order. The citizens are unarmed. They have the weapons. If not, then we WILL need the International community to send in peacekeepers and I am hoping that this alternative plan is already underway.

Lastly, beware the Judas among you. Aziz has already been sniffed out as the one to betray Driti and Mara. Watch your backs! John Galt

From RAW FIJI NEWS:
There’s another gripping untold murder case by Fiji’s dictator Frank Bainimarama.

We’ve been told that one of Frank’s assault victim, Laisa Digitaki, was indeed pregnant when she and her pro-democracy colleagues were beaten, kicked and stomped at by Frank.

In her explicit statement, she vividly remembered this,”One of the soldiers asked me whether I was pregnant of which I said I was not sure. A pair of boots immediately jumped onto my lower and middle back and bounced on it for a few seconds.”

Sources close to Laisa say she frequented Suva Private Hospital after her beating and was not in good health for weeks after that.
.
This latest story lead is another big blow to Frank and his key legal counselors, Nazhat, Aiyaz , Pryde and Gates.
.
Tyrant Frank Bainimarama’s unborn-baby murder incident will surely find its way to the International Criminal Courts and it’s something that will rattle Frank and his legal minders even more.

Mara is in Tonga where there is freedom to speak, which you and your soldier brother obviously don't realise. It is common knowledge that there is dissent within the Military - something yr soldier brother obviously doesn't realise.

As Mara says, the fall of the regime "will NOT happen overnight". But IT WILL HAPPEN... AND SO SAYS FIJI!!!!

In Fiji, we are well known for our gossipping and "kakase". This is so evident in the posts on this site.
What we need is less talk and more action. We need Mara to use his "holiday" in Tonga to mobilise whatever military support he still has in Fiji and work with Driti to overthrow Frank and his pussycats who are now masquerading as senior army officers.
Just as blogsites are modern tools, so are wireless telephones. The military government can't monitor ALL telephone conversations. So, Mara, put yourself to some good use - start the revolution or forever hold your tongue.
Otherwse, we'll keep talking on this website probably after 2014 and probably even after Frank has met his Maker.

WE NEED TO ACT NOW. THE PEOPLE ARE SIMPLY WAITING FOR A LEADER TO LEAD US. SO MARA AND DRITI, IF YOU WON'T MAKE A MOVE, AT LEAST ENCOURAGE SOMEONE ELSE WITH THE BALLS TO LEAD THE PEOPLE OF FIJI TO MAKE THE MOVE NOW. DON'T WAIT FOR NAILATIKAU - HE'S STILL RECOVERING FROM HIS PERMANENT HANG-OVER.

I will never understand how senior officers of the Fijian forces can accept what a single man is doing to our nation. How can you allow Khaiyum to rule our land using a moronic coward as his puppet? How can you accept orders from a man whose declared objective is the sun setting on everything Fijian? How can you answer the questions that your children and grandchildren will ask you? Will you say that you had to follow orders? Will you claim that loyalty to Khaiyum was more important for you than the faith of the entire nation? The RFMF has been instrumental to install the Khaiyum dictatorship and we expect that the RFMF gets us out of a very precarious situation. It is your job to protect the citizens of Fiji it is not your job to allow Khaiyum and his moron to steal millions from the mouths of starving Fijian children.

Act now!

Thanks C4.5 for yet another scoop. We have heard this kinda wisper for too long now from incumbent Cabinet Ministers, PSs, Senior Military Officers, Fiji Diplomats, Church Leader and even every Tomu, Singh, Chang, Gagaji, Moumou and Hajji breathing relief on arrival at foreign airports.

But..all talk no action. May be ‘cause we still have relatives, investments and other interests. Yet, these remnants of our existence and identity as of Fiji have now been slowly obliterated by whims of decrees.
How did we fair four years ago in June 2007, compare to June 2011?….and we have another 3 years to go talk, hate, tactical conferences, prodemocracy marches and blogs??

For once let’s thank each other for attaining Hon PhD’s in nothingness..yep..all of us!!..including these frightened Military Officers who’d stand firm to attention when enters the Co- Prime Minister of Fiji Rear Admiral Frank Bainimarama, Minister for Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development and Statistics; Public Service; People's Charter for Change and Progress; Minister for Information, National Archives and Library Services of Fiji; Minister for I-Taukei; Provincial Development and Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, Acting Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources.

..and we hear another Cabinet reshuffle soon to push out some “suspect Ministers” so the Co Prime Minsters may amass other portfolios...that is what all of us want??.....let's talk some more..shall we..seems no urgency at all..Isa o Viti!

@ 730. Aust and NZ do not have an interest in the issues in Fiji right now as it is not a potential market. It WILL become one when there is an all out revolt, mass killing, collateral infrastructure damage, spread of diseases etc etc; THEN it becomes an OPPORTUNITY for cooperations, NGO's and GOs to summon capability to resurrect a once British colony. Aust and NZ will get the monetary attention as well as support for its intervention from the bigger brothers EURO and AMERICA. Unless their is mass bloodshed and huge collateral damages then they will not response. At present their line of operation is basically humanitarian aid. Aust and NZ have other Asian countries to worry about.

Now to the rest of you misguided people still in the camps as you are no longer worthy of being called soldiers considering your lack of courage and honor as well as the unworthiness of that retrograde institution worthy of being called the RMF as it no longer fulfills its purpose of making citizens feel safe.

We will have to clean up your mess after your fall – HEAR THIS!!! We will have to, create new jobs, begin the process of post conflict rehabilitation, answer to international bodies, pay off the debt incurred under your watch, rebuild a crippled economy and save face to the rest of world and lets not forget restore the faith of every citizen in their government, their constitution, THEIR army (yeah that’s right you belong to the people they pay you), and their police force to name a few.

Good luck with attempting to walk with your head held high once this blows over.

RATU JOSAIA VOREQE BAINMARAMA,

DIVISIONS AMONGST PEOPLE AND WITHIN FAMILIES ARE LIKE THE SOUND OF A MOUTH ORGAN AND THE SOLUTIONS COULD BE FOUND WITHIN THEMSELVES AND LATER CRACKING JOKES TO ENLIGHTEN PAINS.

BUT WHEN THERE IS DIVISION AMONGST RANKS AND FILES WITHIN THE FIJI MILITARY FORCE OR BETWEEN THE VANUA AND THE FIJI MILITARY FORCE, OR BETWEEN GOVERNMENT TO GOVERNMENTS RELATIONSHIP, IT IS LIKE A SOUNDING BUGLE OF THE LAST POST TO BLOODSHED, DEATHS AND, DESTRUCTION ON OUR PROPERTIES, PEOPLE AND NATION AS A WHOLE, WHERE,CRIES,TEARS FOR MERCY, PAINS AND ORPHANAGE SHALL BE INDEED UNBEARABLE TO MANY FOR A LONG TIME, AND AT THE END OF THE DAY THE UNITED NATION & INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT OF JUSTICE MAYBE CALLED IN TO SETTLE THE ACCOUNT OF DIVISIONS CREATED BY GREEDY CORRUPTED AND EVIL MIND OF ONE PERSON.

SHOULD THIS BECOME A REALITY, THEN ONLY THE EXECUTIONERS, LEADERS AND INSTIGATORS OF EVILS ARE THE MOST COMMON VICTIMS TO THE INTERNATIONAL COURTS OF JUSTICE, INVESTIGATION, JUDGEMENT AND IMPRISONMENT.

RATU VOREQE BAINIMARAMA ,HEAR THE BEATING OF WAR DRUMS ARE GETTING LOUDER AND LOUDER EVERYDAY AS IT RUSHING DOWNHILLS CLOSER AND CLOSER TOWARDS OUR INNOCENT WOMEN, BABIES, YOUNG AND OLD PEOPLE KNOWN AS, THE POOREST MAJORITY OF FIJI.

IN REALITY DIVISION IS INEVITABLE AND IT HAS ALREADY IN THE LOBBIES OF OUR CHIEFS, VANUA, LOTU, MATANITU SO AS OUR MILITARY AND POLICE FORCES NOT FORGETTING FIJI PRISONS & CORRECTIONAL SERVICES.

OUR FIJI POLICE FORCE ARE SOMEHOW WEAKENED BY THE GRADUAL INCREASING NUMBERS OF CRIMES COMMITTED EACH DAY THAT MAYBE DUE TO THE LACKS OF PROPER DEVELOPING TOOLS WITH THE COMMON RELATIONSHIP AND POOR MANAGEMENT WITHIN.

PRISON ESCAPEES ARE GETTING BOLDER AND BOLDER TOO. ESCAPING FROM PRISON BECOMES A PAYBACK SYSTEM OR LONELINESS AMONGST PRISONERS IN EACH PRISON AND IT COULD INCREASES IF DIVISIONS WALKS IN. PRISON OFFICERS ARE NOT EXCLUDED AND THEY TOO MAY LOSEN THEIR GRIPS ONE DAY SOON THAT DUE TO THE OUTBREAK OF FEARS AND INSTABILITY WITHIN THE DISPLINARY SERVICES, ARMY, POLICE AND CIVIL SERVANTS.

MAJORITY OF THE CIVIL SERVANTS REMAINS SILENT BUT THEIR RELATIONSHIPS TOWARDS THEIR CHIEFS, VANUA AND LOTU REMAINS INTACT WHICH HOLDS SOME INFLUENCES INSIDE THEM WHICH IS BEYOND YOUR CONTROL.

INFORMATION FROM OUTSIDE EVENTS AND HAPPENNINGS BECOMES GOLDEN NEWS TO ALL SERVING CIVIL
SERVANTS AND SOCIETY.ONE COULD FEEL THAT THEY KNOW ALL ABOUT YOU WHETHER RIGHT OR WRONG,ABOUT MR. A.S.KAIYUM AND GROUP OF JUDGES, REMOVING YOUR MILITARY COUNCIL,THE DECOMMISSIONED OF ROKO ULUI AND DRITI, YOUR $745,000 SALARY, $650,000 TO MR.KAIYUM, $800,000 TO MRS BANO ALI ETC. YOUR PERSONAL ATTACK ON WOMEN AT QEB MAKE IT UNPLATABLE AND MORE TO COME.
SUCH INFORMATION MAY BUILD UP MOMENTUMS THAT WHEN IT REACHES THE DANGER ZONE IT DEVELOP DOUBTFUL MINDS, TOTAL REJECTION AND SPLIT IMAGES TO THE GOVERNMENT SYSTEM, WHICH MAY RESULTED TO CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE.

WE ARE LIVING IN A SOCIETY WHICH IS FULL OF PRETENTION AND BACK STABBING WHEN GUILT IS HOVERING ABOVE OUR HEADS. AND AT TIMES WE RESORT TO WHISKEY AND WAI OR WHATEVER THE CASE MAYBE AS AN ALTERNATE TO SLEEPING PILLS. WHY I SAID THIS TO YOU BECAUSE I CARE FOR YOU VOREQE, OUR PEOPLE AND OUR NATION.

WE DO NOT NEED BEATING OF WAR DRUMS NOR PREPARATION OF WAR PATHS TO SHOW OF STRENGTH FROM ALL SIDES JUST BECAUSE OF DIVISIONS OR WHO IS RIGHT OR WHO IS MOST POWERFUL WITHIN US CAUSED BY GREEDY SELF CENTRED FILLED WITH PRIDE AND CONSPIRACY.

(to be continued next blog)

(continued from above blog)

WHY SHOULD WE INVITE BLOODSHED, DEATHS AND DESTRUCTION TO OUR SOCIETY WHEN WE CAN ALL AVOID IT WITH OUR WISDOM, LOVE ONE ANOTHER AND NOT A FIRE BEING SHOT NOR DEATHS ON THE STREET

RATU VOREQE, PLEASE BE STRONG AND TAKE THE FIRST STEP OF RECONCILLIATION TO THE CHIEFS, VANUA AND LOTU RIGHT NOW AND SET THE PACE FOR THOSE WORLD LEADERS TO FOLLOW YOU. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE IN FIJI NOR ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD BUT AND IT CAN BE DONE. YES! ONLY IN FIJI THROUGH YOU.

HEAR THE WAR DRUM BEATS ARE COMING CLOSER AND CLOSER AND IS INDEED VERY SCARING AND THE LATEST FROM THE INTERNATIONAL RUGBY BOARD. SPORTS IS A NEW FORM OF EMPLOYEMENT TO OUR YOUTHS DURING THIS GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS. REBELLIOUS AT HOME FOR BEING UNEMPLOYED IS BAD ENOUGH BUT TO DENY THEIR CHANCES TO INTERNATIONAL POSITION IN THE TEAM IS MUCH MORE WORSE EVER AND SOON TRUSTS ABANDON YOU.

THE VANUA KNOWS VERY WELL THAT YOU ARE NOT THE ARCHITECT,DESIGNER ORIGINATOR NOR THE RING LEADER OF ALL THESE TROUBLES AND WRONGS, BUT MR. A.S.KAIYUM AND HIS GROUP.

RATU VOREQE, PLEASE STOP RIGHT THERE AND THINK ONCE MORE FOR THE LAST TIME BECAUSE WHEN THE WAR DRUMS BEATS NO MORE, AND THE DUSTS OF DIVSIONS SETTLED, YOU WITH YOUR INNOCENT MILITARY OFFICERS STANDING ALONE SHALL BE SOLELY HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DEATHS, DESTRUCTION AND BLOODSHED THERE IS IN FIJI WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT BECAUSE YOU ARE OUR PRIME MINISTER AND LEADER OF OUR NATION.

MR. A.S.KAIYUM AND GROUP WILL BE NOWHERE NEAR TO FACE THOSE CRIMINAL CHARGES BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ARCHITECTS AND DESIGNERS BUT YOU WITH YOUR INNOCENT MILITARY OFFICERS ARE THE EGINEERS AND EXECUTIONERS. FORMER JUDGE MRS. SHAMEEM, LAWYERS MR.KAIYUM, MR. AZIZ. MR.PRYDE, MR.GATES DR.BANO AND PLUS ALSO DESIGNED THEIR ONLY BEST ESCAPE ROUTE TO TAKE WITHOUT LETTING YOU KNOW SHOULD IT FAILED .

PLEASE RATU JOSAIA VOREQE BAINIMARAMA, LEAD US ALL AND THE WORLD TO ALBERT PARK WITH THEIR WAR DRUMS AND GUNS, HATE AND DIVISIONS TO BRING PEACE AND UNITY TO ALL, FOR ALL AND BY ALL WHEN YOU STILL HAVE TIME FOR THAT HEROIC DECISION TO SAVE US ALL.

IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL IF YOU NEED MY HELP & MY ID SHALL BE KNOWN TO YOU, WITH NO PRE CONDITION SET TO ALL BUT TO FORGIVE, FORGET AND MOVE FORWARD TO ONE NATION, ONE DESTINY WITH EVERLASTING PEACE AND JOY TO ALL. I WILL FLY OVER.

WHEN OUR TIME IS UP I KNOW I HAVE FAILED IN MY ATTEMPT TO SAVE YOU WITH YOUR INNOCENT MILITARY OFFICERS THEN I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE YOU BEHIND AND WALK AWAY. WITH THOSE PLEAS ABOVE MAY I ASK FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS WHEN I STILL HAVE TIME WITH YOU.

I LOVE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY VOREQE, REGARDLESS WHAT THE PEOPLE MAY SAY AGAINST YOU IN THIS BLOG. PEOPLE MAY HATE YOU AND I BUT I DO NOT BECAUSE OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN ALWAYS GIVES US OUR SECOND CHANCE.

IF INDIANS AND OTHER RACES LAID DOWN THEIR ARMS, THERE WILL BE INDEED EVERLASTING PEACE AND HARMONY IN FIJI, BUT, IF FIJIAN OR KAI VITI LAID DOWN THEIR ARMS IN FIJI, THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE ANOTHER KAI VITI OR A FIJIAN RACE IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

This Blog and its participants continuously hammer away at Khaiyum with good reason of course. The word used to describe him commonly is Taliban. Am i to understand that this word is used primarily because he practices the Islamic faith or is it just an ugly way to describe him knowing the history of the Taliban. I ask this question because if the word is used in a racist contest then i am afraid you guys are no better then Aiyaz or Frank. If this is so then i am to assume that should a person stand for election and he has every credential to be a good leader of this country, but he/she happens to be a Muslim then most if not all of you will not vote for that person. If this is the reality of what this site is promoting in the name of democracy, human rites etc etc then let me say this FIJI WILL ALWAYS BE THE BANANA REPUBLIC WE HAVE NOW BECOME AND NOTHING WILL CHANGE THIS. For the country to change we must except that human beings are just that human beings and religion and race neither makes one good or bad it is the nature of humanity that does this. Frankly I think the country needs to let someone from another race run it for at least one term. This has never happened as even Chaudhary did only 1 year. Don’t you think by now that the I-TAUKEI have proven themselves incapable of running a country. We have been independent now for 40 years. All but 1 year of this 40 was managed by the I-TAUKEI and look where we are now

Chaudary used Bainimarama to change the Tax Law of the country of Fiji just so that he can avoid jail due to his Tax Arears. Secondly Chaudary defrauded a Charity Organisation of $2mil which is now in a bank in Australia. The money was raised by Indians in Canada, USA and India specifically for cane farmers in Fiji but Chaudary stole it.
Chaudary is no Angel
As far as your question about Taliban Aiyaz..... I think it was first coined by Prasad of NZ because of Aiyaz's tendency to get othe Muslims involved in his illegal activities. These Muslims include Nur Bano etc etc
Of course there have been Muslims also mistreated by the Regime
I think most people use the word "Taliban" loosely rather than an actual hatred for muslims.
It's not a matter of "give another race a go because one race has done it long enough". I think people should be allowed to campaign and we the people can choose who we like.
That is Democracy.

I think there is no relation to Aiyaz's religion. It is just unfortunate that his name resembles that of a muslim, but HE IS NOT A MUSLIM..

Referring taliban to him, is comparing his acts with those of Taliban, and not the religion..

AGAIN, AIYAZ IS NOT A MUSLIM.

Dear Bloggers, lets us stick to the person as a person not bring his ethnicity of whatosever to his character.

Likewise, Frank's action can be said that all fellow i-taukei people who are 'members';visitors and frequent to this website are all birds of the same feathers as Frank Bainimarama.

Once again, let us focus on the person and the issue but no race cards or religious extremists view.

Otherwise, a much anticipated overthrowing of this Regime....as most here are dying for, will take us back to 1987 and 2000 where innoncents lives, a vulnerable group are treated as a scapegoat due to a few ELITES stupidity.

Let us work towards a BETTER FIJI for ALL!.....

There is an interesting read in todays Fiji Sun by Thakur Singh! I was impressed with his assertions of the situation in Fiji and especially Tonga where no person born of Indo-Fijian heritage is allowed in Tonga. Isn't this racial discrimination of the highest order! Where is the Commonwealth when such pracices are allowed? So much for talking about democracy! As for the situation in Fiji-no one in the Amry will stage a coup why? There isn't anyone who has the support of the members of the miliatry like Voreqe! Short of the people getting up and by that i mean the Taukeis-we in for a long, long wait for elections! Australia & NZ for all they big talk all they can do is stop a few players involved with the military going over & maybe some officials, how much does that effect Fiji? Not even 20cents according to my calculations but here on C4.5 by the number of writers, saying horay!!Hallelughi! You'd think what the NZ PM said was going to turn back the tide for an elections tomorrow!Oti vaka dua vei Voreqe the truth is, if NZ allowed this mob to go we could have had a better chance for someone to make an arrest! Have we all missed an opportunity? Has NZ being smart enough to realise that if he did come, they will have to go thru by making this arrest warrant a real possibility!

RE: Anon @ 11:38 AM.

Thank-you for alerting us. You are a true friend and Eliki Salusalu has been exposed as a RAT!

So, the current illegal military regime would like to take away our last refuge? C 4.5 I know you are documenting all of this. If too many bloggers go off the radar screen - you know where to find us - being tortured for expressing our honest opinions on a private blogsite. (I, however, have people standing in the wings waiting to act. Yes, we are just waiting for you puppets to take your final revenge. Come and get me!)

RE: Scarlet Pimpernell

Girl, I'm sure what you had to say was important but my eyes began glazing over. Will reread later but DO try to keep it a wee briefer.

All in all, vibrant dialogue and significant contributions by everyone. Unless all of these contributions are from outside of Fiji, I don't understand why we cannot make a go of it. Time will tell. All old political players MUST go! They have all been self serving or weak.

Hey any Johnny Depp fans out there? Remember the scene where everyone is running from one side of the ship to the other because Johnny does it? They turned the ship upside down and had a whole new world to view. I think we need to do that.

People remember the name ELIKI SALUSALU. Know him. Shun him. He has sold his soul. John Galt

I don't think New Zealand wants to get involved in 'arresting' Bainimarama. Despite its 'humanitarian zeal' it's never had to do anything like this before so I don't think it has the experience or the inclination. That's out of the realms of what it's prepared to do. There is a smart plan and I'm hoping the right people are on to it.

@ Anon 3:25 PM. You have some learning to do. AG and most of his taliban relatives in government, consider themselves Muslims but the sect they belong to - Ahmadiyya - is considered heretical and they are considered kaffirs or disbelievers by mainstream Muslims around the world. They have been severely persecuted recently in Islamic states such as Pakistan and Indonesia.

I'm not taking sides here, only pointing out the hard fact that you should accept. And your argument, however valid, goes completely out the window.

Rabuka used, George Speight, Qarase used and now the Coup and half bloggers are using it. If you people have support and balls go to Fiji and overthrow Bainimara. Donot blame him, blame Uli's father, Ratu Mara and Ratu Penaia for supporting 1987 coup. Racism sucks in 21st century.

Annon &.19pm. John Galt is right and correct too, The real problems in South Africa, Uganda, Zimbambwe, Tunisia, Eygpt, Libya, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afgahistan, China and India and many more were foreighners and business people. See what happened in Solomon, Papua New Guinea the natives burned down foreighners and business people's homes and shops. Fiji is heading the same way too because of people like you who do not want to understand the truth. Indians are burning foreighners homes and shops and properties too in India because it is their lands, their resources, cultures, customs and tradition and their religion they are defending. Indian rules India and Paqkistani rules Pakistan over 2000 thousand years now and still no peace and harmony ever found in India and Pakistan but more problems ever known in their history. Fiji need to find peace and harmony for all and not fighting. Stop adding fuel to our problems, please.

RUM: The military issue is a problem for Bainimarama now. He does not have the support of the military and he knows that. The more I reveal what’s happened, the more the soldiers find out the truth, the more these guys coming under threat, and the more he finds himself loosing his grip on power. He’s showing all signs of a person who’s losing grip on power. It’s a sign of a dictatorship, he’s tightening up everywhere.

@Anon 4:51 PM. So ignorant and laughable. How many "Fiji Indians" who were "part of Fiji" have turned their backs on Fiji and emigrated since 1987? Why do they continue to disparate and devalue the indigeneous Fijians and their culture?

By the same token, Ugandan Indians were part of Uganda, not India. Not true.

Hate to break it to you dude, but self-imposed ethnic separatism tends to lead to resource competition based on group membership, and consequent hatred, expulsions, and persecutions.

This present illrgal regime is rightly perceived by native Fijians as an ANTI-INDIGENEOUS RACIST REGIME DOMINATED OR SUPPORTED BY INDIANS.

The development of greater ethnocentrism among native Fijian peoples is a likely result of present trends.

Ethnic self-interest is important in human affairs, and obviously ETHNICITY remains a common source of group identity in the contemporary world.

People appear to be aware of group membership and have a general tendency to devalue and compete with outgroups. Individuals are also keenly aware of the relative standing of their own group in terms of resource control and relative reproductive success. They are also willing to take extraordinary steps to achieve and retain economic and political power in defense of these group imperatives.

iTaukei said...

@Anon 3:42 AM. Well put! Ethnic self-interest is important in human affairs, and obviously ETHNICITY remains a common source of group identity in the contemporary world.

@Anon 4:51 PM ignores the reality of ethnic competition throughout the world over very long periods of human history as well as the importance of numbers in pursuing ethnic interests.

Multi-ethnic states tend to become arrayed as competing groups battling over scarce resources, and it is rare for different ethnic groups to have the same size and control of resources at any given time.

Although there is a correlation between group size and economic and political power, there are glaring exceptions to the rule, the most common being exploitation of larger groups by smaller groups with greater access to the forces of social control. Certain groups, such as Jewish groups and overseas Chinese living in Southeast Asia, have often been exceptions to the general pattern, at times showing disparities between economic and political power, and often obtaining high levels of economic or political power despite a small group size.

Modernization brings with it increased ethnic conflict as different groups begin competing in larger economic and political systems in which, at any given point in time, groups differ in their numbers and their control of resources.

BainiArse's Final Solution said...

Khaiyum "thesis" - SUNSET CLAUSE FINAL SOLUTION FOR THE INDIGENOUS FIJIAN RACE.

Taliban's "thesis" calls for the total destruction of Fijian culture and institutions.

Kaidias are more racist than kaivitis, many times more, and it is no secret that they disparage and devalue the host people behind their backs.

Ever been to India? In modern India, the greatest insult one could pay a fellow Indian is to call him “black.”

In spite of all the organized government and media efforts to root out racial feeling, there is still ample evidence that race does matter in modern India. Rodney Johnson showed me the personal ad columns that catered to the English-speaking Indians. The skin color of the advertiser is always described very precisely. I found that many of the ads emphasized the degree of lightness of the prospective husband or wife.

And you have the gumption to call native Fijians "racists"?

TELL US WHY THE FOLLOWING "DECLARATION OF INDIGENOUS RIGHTS" DON'T OR SHOULD NOT APPLY TO INDIGENOUS FIJIANS?

==================================

Reaffirming that indigenous peoples, in the exercise of their rights, should be free from discrimination of any kind,

Concerned that indigenous peoples have suffered from historic injustices as a result of, inter alia, their colonization and dispossession of their lands, territories and resources, thus preventing them from exercising, in particular, their right to development in accordance with their own needs and interests,

Recognizing the urgent need to respect and promote the inherent rights of indigenous peoples which derive from their political, economic and social structures and from their cultures, spiritual traditions, histories and philosophies, especially their rights to their lands, territories and resources,

Recognizing also the urgent need to respect and promote the rights of indigenous peoples affirmed in treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements with States,

Welcoming the fact that indigenous peoples are organizing themselves for political, economic, social and cultural enhancement and in order to bring to an end all forms of discrimination and oppression wherever they occur,

Convinced that control by indigenous peoples over developments affecting them and their lands, territories and resources will enable them to maintain and strengthen their institutions, cultures and traditions, and to promote their development in accordance with their aspirations and needs,

Recognizing that respect for indigenous knowledge, cultures and traditional practices contributes to sustainable and equitable development and proper management of the environment,

Emphasizing the contribution of the demilitarization of the lands and territories of indigenous peoples to peace, economic and social progress and development, understanding and friendly relations among nations and peoples of the world,

Recognizing in particular the right of indigenous families and communities to retain shared responsibility for the upbringing, training, education and well-being of their children, consistent with the rights of the child,

Considering that the rights affirmed in treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements between States and indigenous peoples are, in some situations, matters of international concern, interest, responsibility and character,

Considering also that treaties, agreements and other constructive arrangements, and the relationship they represent, are the basis for a strengthened partnership between indigenous peoples and States,

FIJI: Mara seeks united opposition to Bainimarama's regime

Source: www.scoop.co.nz

Friday, 03 June 2011

NUKU'ALOFA ( Matangi Tonga/Pacific Media Watch ): Lieutenant-Colonel Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara, one of four Fijian senior military officers who with Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama overthrew the democratically elected government of Fiji on 5 December 2006, has confessed that what they did was illegal.

"I want a democratic government back in Fiji. I know it is strange coming from me, since I was part of the military that overthrew the democratically elected government in 2006, but that is what I would like to see happen in Fiji. It has also been finally realised that what we did was illegal. We have to go back to democratic rule there is no two ways about it," he said in Nuku'alofa this week.

He is talking about uniting the groups that are opposing the military regime of Voreqe Bainimarama and Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and "in the coming weeks we will take a more pro-action stance".

Removal of special rights

Ratu Tevita said it was clear that the regime was working toward implementing the ideas in a Sayed-Khaiyum's master's thesis, "Cultural Autonomy, its implication for the nation-state, the Fijian Experience", where he said that Khaiyum advocated the elimination of special rights for indigenous people and the removal of the right of indigenous Fijians to own land exclusively.

"Khaiyum had written the thesis and Bainimarama is using the Fiji military to turn this thesis into a reality," alleged Ratu Tevita. "He has [already] nullified the two paramount institutions for Fijians, the Great Council of Chiefs and the Methodist Church."

Bainimarama sacked the GCC in 2007 and declared that the annual conference of the Methodist Church, the biggest church in Fiji which usually runs for two weeks, has been reduced to only a day.

While the Methodist Church has been calling for a return to democratic rule since 2006. They have been the most vocal, but Bainimarama and Khaiyum further strengthened their influence in the community by removing Fijian chiefs from being head of provincial councils and replacing them with military people.

Opposition groups

Ratu Tevita is talking to opposition groups in Fiji.

"People back home are slowly realising that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There is someone who is talking about returning to democratic rule. There are various groups who are opposing the military regime of Bainimarama and Khaiyum, when we will be united we will be stronger and our voice can be heard. In the coming weeks we will take a more pro-action stance," he said.

Ratu Tevita said he would also be making contact with overseas countries, such as Australia and New Zealand.

"I am moving in that direction and I know that the New Zealand prime minister is in favour of the course that I am fighting for and I am taking it up with them."

Oh my GOD, what have you bloggers been up to while I have spent the day out?!

Now we are all sporting racist suits???

And, ah, no, the impersonator, that may well have triggered it all under my tag is not me. Nor are they my comments.

People, you either get off this suicidal track or we are ALL dead.

Did God tell you that you are a superior race because of your eyes, your skin color or your belly button being an "inny" or an "outty?"

For crying out loud, get real, get together with all that share an common interest to save our country, and get over your pre-pubescent hostilities!

The differnce in people that counts is not what you see on the outside. It is what is inside of our hearts. No matter the race, the creed nor the color, there are good and there are bad.

Which are you? And when our world is turned inside out and each of you find you are in the minority - do you want to be judged by that - or for WHO you are?

Geez, you are like a mob of unruly children!

When tomorrow's fashion dictates that all must be five foot or under to be considered beautiful - how many of you will qualify? When tomorrow's political statement says that you must be a Tibetian Monk - how many of you will qualify? When the PM demands that you bark like a dog and curtsy like a pig - how many of you will qualify?

On this mental course, we ARE doomed. You are PROVING why we are such fertile stomping grounds. We can have and absolutely must have our differences but to sanctify it on such a ridiculously shallow level? We do not need an outside enemy. The enemy is within. John Galt
