Insiders: Bainimarama's wife and daughters called for 'loser' netballers to get the boot

NOT SO GOLDEN GIRLS: Coach Una Rokoura (second left). According to reports the Bainimarama's want her and others out.

Critics say cheers were really jeers! pic Fiji Sun
More inside reports have come in about the Bainimarama's trip to SIngapore and the disastrous results of Fiji's netball world cup squad.

A source says all four of the Bainimarama children went on the controversial taxpayer funded trip, including Frances and Ateca who are in the United Kingdom married to British Army boys.

Insiders say the entourage was made up of Frank and Mary Bainimarama, Rubyann, Litiana, Meli, Frances, Ateca and Bernie, and Litiana's husband Eremasi.

And they say the Bainimarama women were apparently  jeering the Fiji Team for much of the tournament. They're accused of screaming insults at the squad and demanding a change in line-up. Litiana is said to have been giving her orders directly to coach,  Una Rokoura, and when she didn't pay her any attention, she started insulting the players.

Insiders say after the game with Wales, Mary, Rubyann and Litiana told the president of Fiji Netball, Wainikiti Bogindrau, to tell Una Rokoura she wasn't good enough to be the coach for her country and that the team was unworthy of the support of the illegal prime minister.

Critics say the Bainimaramas didn't even bother to visit the camp but instead demanded that Matila Waqanidrola, the Captain, resign and retire from the sport immediately.

According to the netball circuit Mary Bainimarama also told Waqanidrola Simone Nalatu should be sent home and that the two shooters, Maria and Afa, were hopeless and must be dropped immediately.

She is also reported to say the team needs an overseas coach. According to some the call to dump Una Rokoura is ironic since her brother, Captain Aseri Rokoura, is Bainimarama's Number One PSO Officer.

The FIji Netball executives and management are believed to be deeply shocked by the behaviour of the Bainimarama women and their insults of the Fiji coach and the team.

  5. The disgusting, uncouth, bitchy, rude, prostitute-like antics of the Bainimarama family reflects the bastardly, cruel, son-of-a-bitch behaviour of their torturer farther the swine of a Dictator, Vore.

The girls have Vore's DNA and they have inherented all the dorminant bad genetic behaviour of their father...to be expected.

    What an embarrasment to Fiji.

  8. Why don't the Bainimarama women put on the bibs and be the Fiji team? It would be great fun to see them hauling their fat arses around the court.

Mai tovolea mada! Ni yavu kana loto!

  9. Armchair critics in the truest sense of the word. None of them have ever been sporty and yet they know how to coach a team! Amazing!

  10. This story reminds me of the time Sadam was in power in Iraq.

When the Iraqi national soccer team failed to satisfy Uday (Sadam's eldest son) of their performance at an international tournament, he had the whole team jailed with some tortured.

Such is the life and mentality of a dictator, which is something we are now witnessing in Fiji.

If the Bainimarama women think that they are very good in netball then they should appoint themselves into the team and play as the Fiji team for as long and as many times they want.

The rest of Fiji can then boycott supporting the team, and leave them to become the laughing stock of the whole world.

  18. Common people you gonna give naita Mary and her daughters the credit for being excellent ambassadors of the illegal regime. From the picture I can see Vore smiling and waving from his VIP seat. To fix the netball problem why don't they swap the two, make Ana Rokoura be the PSO and Rocky be the coach? Why is the other naita (Mrs Khyaium)not in the world tour? Is it because Ramadan is coming and she needs to pray 70 times a day? Thanks 4.5 for this news but please we are tired of seeing these low monkey life so let's focus on our "name and shame" game by bringing to light those shadowy figures who are still hiding overseas?

  19. Jake says.....

I use to fan & support my boss Frank. But after all these mess and robbing poor tax payers and paying himself & family trips overseas. I now believe the true intentions of the coup can be summarised in just 2 sentences..

    > I'm afraid of going to jail because of my issues in 2000 mutiny & cold blood killings & theratening the legally elected Labour & SDL government

    > And second I want to get rich very quickly

    God bless Fiji

  23. The problem going on with Fiji netball is similar to Rugby. So much money given for free with no results showing any form of consistency or improvement and has anyone got any wise? Its a big fat no! Why-hasn't anyone looked at the present record of the Rugby Coach aksed where he was before he came to Fiji to coach? He is basically the figure head to overseas caoches who have yet to prove they are any better then he is! We have someone in Fiji a French coach who is coaching Nadorga and look at his results! We have had Netball caoches in Fiji that took our girls to another level of playing and what did we do-sack them? Is it any wonder we are still going no where with almost all out competitive sports? And Wianikiti Bogidrau-tell me in which field of sports has she ever excelled in to show leadership to the young generation of youngsters who are going to represent Fiji-big fat ZERO! Its no use blaming the Bainimaramas or anyone one else but to look at the setup we have-we set ourselves to doom & failure year in year out because no one has the guts to say enough is enough. Maybe if we had a Guji running the money affairs at Rugby House we might just save some money, and what about bring in people who are willing to give up their time for less than the money now earned by some at Rugby House. Yes pay them officials but if there is no results-the contratc should say "go home". Wonder if the present mob from Aussie could get a job in Aussie with similar conditions & payments?

  26. Team Fijis rental car was used for transporting the President and Vice President on their shopping sprees around Singapore whilst the other officials had to bus it to their seminars and workshops. Abuse again by the regime supporter President of Netball Wanikiti whilst her brother was made Liaison Officer of Team Fiji and driver of the rental car!!! It would have been better if he drove the shooters to practice every morning.....

  27. And who do the Bhainivuaka ladies think they are?? Do they not remember that they themselves are the illegal first family?
What a bunch of rude, arrogant, disgusting and pathetic bunch of women...great rolemodels for Fiji, arent they! Goes to show how their ridiculousness runs in the family, all the bloody same!
Hey Bhainivuaka ladies, let's see you pigs coach the team or even better let's see you play the game next time?

  28. Well people this is pretty typical of Fiji Sport in General.

Under Alisi Tabete she was constantly directing Julie Hoornweg by phone and as Julie chose to ignore her she soon went.

Not so long ago the Fiji Men's Volleyball team stood in the grandstands and jeered their women's team as they went for gold in Oceania all because they were jealous of their achievements while the best they could do was get disqualified..

Still no excuse for the B's. They need to go too..

  29. Fiji doesn't need overseas coaches. It just needs to get off its arse and work for success...

  33. Fiji still needs overseas coaches. This has been proven over and over again especially for the two major sports - Rugby & Netball.. With due respect to local coaches, we still don't have it yet..

  34. Wainikiti Bogidrau will never change and she should just go and hibernate with S. L. Rabuka in his old days.

It was only her PR skills that opened that door into the limelight reviving Fiji Netball after the most recent fiasco of 2007 - 2009.

Individuals like her who have enjoyed the limelight and pursue the limelight (as in Rabuka's case0 are always susceptible to corruption, abuse, high hand3ed abusive conduct and snobbishness.

TO THE NETBALL TEAM - I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO YOU...YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVOURITE TEAM...MATILA, AFA AND THE TEAM, YOU HAD DONE WELL IN SINGAPORE. THE BAINIMARAMAS ARE NOTHING BUT SPOILT BRATS WHO HAVE NEVER TOUCHED THE NETBALL IN A REAL COMPETITION SO IS THEIR MOTHER...BUT ARE GOOD AT HOLDING REAL HARD TWIN BALLS.

YOU HAVE DONE WELL...IT IS RATHER UNFORTUNATE THAT BAD VIBES OF SOME IN YOUR MANAGEMENT AND THE UNGODLY SPIRIT BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE PRESENCE OF BAINIMARAMA AND HIS FAMILY WITH THE DIRTY FUNDING OF THE FIJI GOVERNMENT

REMEBER FIJI NETBALL TEAM - FIJI LOVES YOU ALL

  35. Fijis Sporting bodied esp rugby n netball has been too militarised. They think they are good managers and leaders. Infact they corrupt assholes.

You can bring military kind leadership into our civil society. That only comprises its professional ethics and its transparency. The military leadership should stick their wanna be smart jack of all trades -master of none asses in the military camp. Thats where they belong. fullstop

  36. Very bad form all around

  37. All players in all games during this illegal regime are either directly or indirectly supporting it. Do not weep for any of them. They have a choice - they can choose not to play for Fiji until a legal government is chosen.
Has anyone ask the netball team members why they performed miserably after the first round? Too much party after the game with the compliments of the Bainivuaka family perhaps? You cannot enjoy the tour to Singapore with illegal money and expect to win applause after a miserable performance.
Do the right thing - Choose freedom from this illegal crooks.

  38. To Anonymous 8.36pm. kua mada na viaviakila tiko vei iko. Julie Hoornweg was booted out by Ponipate Lesavua and the Labour Govt when they did not renew her work permit ! Netball officials tried their best to extend Julies term but to no avail. Imagine where Fiji could have been today had she remained. Julie was the best overseas coach and she is still going places today.

  44. Have you noticed that every team watched by the Bainivuaka's has lost that particular game.

    1.) 1st and 2nd game in Singapore
2.) Final Game against Japan in PNC

What was interesting isn't the fact that they lost, but "HOW THEY LOST". 2 Red Cards, and 1 Yellow Card; first in international test rugby history!!!.......How do you explain that one!!!????

Franco is apparently taking Fiji's peoples curses around with him, and its affecting the Fiji Teams.

Please ban them from watching any more test matches.
