Billboard attacks: First sign of the people of Fiji rising up against Bainimarama

The strong resolve of the Methodist Church appears to have struck a chord with people in Fiji.

In what appears to be a first sign of civil disobedience and that people are rising up against the unpopular regime, military have this morning been busy retouching the roadside billboards of Frank Bainimarama, which have been spray painted with abuse.

Soldiers have also been rushing around cleaning graffiti like "PM Evil Murderer" from several buildings and walls.

Intel sources say the dictatorship has established a task force to investigate who is behind the operation.

Information given to Coupfourpointfive says the group behind the attack on Bainimarama is calling itself VRF (Viti Revolution Forces).

The group is claiming the responsibility for all of the slogans painted on walls and also on Frank Bainimarama's photo on the road sides from Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka to Suva and Nausori.

VRF says "Bainimarama has been given ample time as a Fijian to come to his senses and do the right thing."

"We expected him to respect and listen to church, chiefs and people. This is in retaliation to the cancellation of the conference and also a stern warning.

"Frank Bainimarama still has time to come to his senses and consult the church, chiefs, other political parties, unions and NGO's to take the Fiji on the right path.

"However, it cannot be expected from a mad man like himself and he is evil and a murderer. He will have no time for reconciliation and healing. He has to be taught a lesson in a hard way."

Viti Revolution Forces goes on to say: "This is only a beginning to show that people of Fiji will go to any length to fight for freedom. If he thinks that Fijian people will not rise against him and are scared, that will be the biggest mistake of his life.

"This is only a beginning and VRF commands Frank Bainimarama to respect the church and the conference and their views. Otherwise, expect the worst from tomorrow and it will continue till the day Fiji will win its freedom.

"He can arrest, torture as much as he can, but VRF is widely spread in each and every village in Fiji. We are still respecting the peace, law and order. But not for long."

VRF is also calling on the governments of New Zealand and Australia to intervene now before a bloodshed happens in Fiji.

It says: "Fiji is a small place and everyone lives like a family. We cannot be compared to Lybia and the activities happening around the world. But dont be mistaken at all. It can be worst than any other places once started.

"We urge New Zealand and Australia to intervene now if they care a single bit for the people of Fiji. They can be in contact with the church to find a resolution to the issue peacefully. We do not want any person arrested, tortured and killed. But it is going that way, and once started - there will be no stopping until the revolution.

"We also thank the international communities and groups for their help and thoughts towards Fiji democracy and freedom."

Please someone keep an eye on Frank, Aiyaz, Aziz and the Shameem sister's movements around the different ports so they can be detained before running away from their crimes against Fijians.

  9. Mark Manning - from the comfort of our computer chair in Australia i can honestly say you are a prize fool. you have no concept of Fiji or the resolve of this government and no one would run away only a coward like Mara does that. Stick to what your good at… NOTHING!

  10. Th best formula for resisting arrest was done by Rev Koroi.....

"“I said no, I am not going to go,” he said.

“I told them, the only way to take me to camp now is bundle up my legs, tied up, and my hands, I will not go with you.

“That is the only way, you carry me to the camp or you bring your gun and shoot me and you carry my dead body to the camp to show to the commander.”

Lets show the illegal regime that we mean business now....

    Thumbs up for democracy.

    God Bless Fiji !!!!

  15. Graffiti is fine. But what is needed more is a political assassination. So many of the illegal regime to choose from. Frank is number 1 on the hit list. If it's difficult to get Frank, go for Aiyarse. If he is cowardly surrounded by boci-guards, then Pryde, Gates or Smith-Goebells, the Shameem sisters. All of these people have been begging for a bullet. They move about us freely, but not for long. Their time will come to an abrupt end with the swift justice of an assassin's bullet!

  16. Rise up Fiji People! Rise up Now!
This is Hibiscus Week and so you can all be all going to Albert Park for the Hibiscus festival as an excuse but all turn up and do your protest there without moving from the place with your signs and sit there and don't move in a crowd! What can the army do? Shoot you all? Bloodshe shown in front of the whole world. Take your phones with you and send texts to all you can to turn up in numbers! What can the government do? Don't move from Albert Park day and night until the military and regime steps down! And when you are all there threatened, text one of your Fiji people in NZ & Australia to approach the NZ & Australiaa government to intervene in military style! That is the plan! Lets do it Fiji! For yourselves and your next generations! We cannot be run by people who have stolen point blank from the People of Fiji. Rise up Fiji People! Rise up for your nation and people! Don't give in to the bullying technique of those who are using all your hard earned tax money and privileges! Enough is Enough!

  17. VRF is calling all the LIONS in all villages to wake up and come and join the hunt of evil dogs. Do the same everywhere under the banner of VRF or on your own.

Get them to send their contact emails to Coup 4.5.

VRF will pass on the messages through Coup 4.5.

  19. Last Sunday, in Radio New Zealand's "Sunday Morning" programme, Sir Satya Nand, the out-going Governor General said that " New Zealand will need to step in to help Fiji when the military regime fails." [It must be noted that his family emigrated from Fiji before he was born].
He goes on to say that "One way or another, Fiji will want to move to a stage beyond where they are at the moment."
What a fitting comment [albeit a bit late] on the eve of his departure, for both the Fiji and NZ Leadership to take serious note of.
It is now evident that we have now reached that stage and must therefore keep up the momentum. THUMBS UP FOR DEMOCRACY and GO, FIJI , GO !!!!!!!!

  24. People should go one step forward and bring down the billboard.

All standing billboard should be flattened down.

Doing this will create more fear amongst dictators on who to trust within the army.

Other things people could do is start errecting own bill boards along main roads, hotels, etc.

Doing this will create more divisions in army.

  31. The 800000 people must arrest the dictator who is receiving corrupt monies.

    Thumbs up for democracy.

    ReplyDelete
  32. VRF - you go! Don't let Bai, Aryse, Aryse's aunty, Shameem girls & Gates escape from the airports or sea ports. Keep an eye on them! They need to be brought to public trial - paraded before the nation of Fiji! And for every officer or soldier on Bai's side, they need a special military court that requires public trial too! And as for Bai's personal hitmen, well that is for public trial for sure in their minimum outfit - birthday suit for starters on display - and then to be on display for many days for public to have a good view! For the last 5-6 years of being so controlling, they need to have a bigger St Giles hospital made ready for their permanent residence! Now please don't just jump to 'democracy' right away! No, we need something similar to the RAMSI in the Solomon Islands after the military regime comes down! We don't want to go back to same old, same old 'democracy'. No way! It was that stupid old British colonial mentality of 'democracy; that is like 'fish out of water' for Fiji. We need a specially designed leadership of mixture that incorporates the different ethnicity. Democracy is not a Godly concept! The Fijian natives never knew 'democracy'. We have a autocracy chiefly rule that is fitting for the tribal Fijians that needs to be considered. And we have other nationalities like our Indian brothers and sisters who have their caste system too - not totally democratic please! Or we would repeat history! Please ensure that Police Commissioner,Military Chief of Staff and Regime appointees are held hostage somewhere! They need to be brought to task for their greed with Bainimarama! They are equally selfish like Bainimarama and Aryse for condoning the regime! Lets settle this once and for all Fiji People!

    ReplyDelete
  33. This is what we are waiting for. It's easy for Bainimarama to say bad things about others, well guess what Bainimarama, ITS OUR TURN NOW!

Billboards are meant for promoting things that are not living [dead!], have no souls, have no morals, have no ethics, have no respect, have no brains and cannot think for themselves.
Living beings DO NOT blow their trumpets through billboards.
But then again, I guess it is 'ONLY IN FIJI' where right is wrong and wrong is right.

  47. The guys at the camp were very tense today. Normally the guards at the main gate off Mead Rd, are polite and friendly. Today they were very agitated and uncivil as though they had been yelled at. I just thought the MPs were doped from last night's grog and then I see graffiti on their boss's billboard.

David Pflieger of Air Pacific should also be taken out and given over to the Fijians to judge or ICC. If you reading this Dave, get out while you can still walk out as we have a body bag ready with your name on it.

  70. My people of Fiji....rise up now altogether.......unions, employers whose FNPF funds have been stolen, lotu wesele, all who have been tortured to date by military, all Fiji people who have been affected because of the economy and loss of jobs.......you do not have to apply for a permit.....you do not have to plan to meet....when you do so, you are basically agreeing to abide by the military rules.....so please do not let your selected few - Bainimarama, Aryse & company to live on your hard earned tax money. If you all do uprising all at once in all towns - Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Sigatoka, Suva, Nausori etc etc - all at once, there are not enough soldiers to combat or control and so the regime loses control......take the airport, seaport, government offices, newspaper companies, radio stations and selected SAS type commandos to take over Delai Nabua.....And dont forget to throw a couple of bombs to the Bainimarama's residence, Police commissioner's residence, Gates' residence, Kidnap President nailatikau and lock him up at Union club....he should be happy there.....take Arye, Gates & Shameem and put them on Nukulau guarded by the shoe shine boys.....and lets just 'tango' in the capital of
Suva.......meanwhile, watch the flight departures incase you have the business supporters like Tappoos leavinig for overseas........get some of the shoeshine boys to raid the the Tappoos shops, etc.......and please stop all bank transactions that transfers any money from Fiji to overseas....stop all transactions going overseas......lets just act whereever it is appropriate to bring down their regime's infrastructure!!!!

We the silent warriors are watching when the bell rings these regime and all its members iincluding the soldiers will swim to the ocean. I know where there are weapons back there and will get them to strike down Bainikayum and his troops. Those are Fiji trained bodyguards with vakaviti style mentality. definitely the regime is not in control of 100% of police and military forces.

  82. Grafitti & posters are hugely effective and are a good sign of active civil disobedience. The Bainimarama regime will be hard pressed to stop this. its one of the few things they cant control in Fiji. History shows that pamphlets, grafitti & posters have played a major part in protest in other Countries, in fact the CIA used this in many South American dictaterships to bring around public opinion that over time resulted in revolutions by the people. I think the opressed in Fiji have found a voice here and I would encourage more of this. It is simply impossible for the Military to nbe eveywhere at once to control & stop it. Sharon the organ grinders PR Press monkey will struggle to deny this voice of the people.

  83. OK so we have something brewing here and rightfully None of this appears to negate the apparent fact - that Government did not dicate to the Methodist Church who is to lead.

I'm no defender of the Methodist Church. Quite the contrary. It's had an appalling record of racism and provoking division in the country.

All of us seem to forget how they tried to enforce Sunday Ban on all of us. In addition in 2000 they congregated at the Parliament Complex. Now if thats not pushing the Methodist Agenda too Far, I cannot comprehend what is.
Enough of this Bullshit of Methodist Church Conference, and lets get on with ensuring that Fiji is safe for everyone.

  97. May I suggest that the Director, Department of Environment seriously consider taking the Army to "task" for spoiling the environment by being unprofessional in painting over the graffiti!! In this instance we know who they are - the military themselves. Charge them and let's see if the judiciary is "really independent" like they are professing!!

  103. INDIANS WERE THE EXCUSE IN 1987.
Every Afro-Negroid country has coups. Blame Indians as much as you like-
Coups happen all over the world in 87 Afro countries (Angola to Zimbabwe)
To get Afros out of poverty/crime- throughout the world- LETS FIRST MAKE A COMMITMENT TO DEMOCRACY-NOT RACE IN FIJI. If an INDIAN wins- accept the verdict and if the kaidia does not make the country progress, VOTE HIM OUT IN THE NEXT ELECTIONS- NO COUPS
This is the only way for Afro/ Negroid of the world
The Afros are the bottom of the human development index throuout the world . FIJI WAS DOING WELL BCOS RT MARA ALWAYS KNEW INDIANS WERE IMPORTANT. HE NEVER MADE BLATANT ANTI INDIAN RULES. He did at times sound like it to please the Part-europeans who held 8 seats and the balance of power.
THE EUROPEANS AND VASUS would be happy as long as anything was anti Indian. THEY HELD THIS INFERIORITY COMPLEX AND RESENTED INDIANS SUCESS AT ALL LEVELS.
