VRF accepts responsibility for police post fires but says it's not targeting ordinary people, just the regime

CHARRED REMAINS OF VATUDRADRA POLICE POST: VRF says it did it.

VRF is taking full responsibility for the torching of police offices in the western division over the weekend.

In a statement, the group says "VRF comrades, CID HQ staff from Suva, crime scene personnel, military and forensic officers were all present at the scene of the incident - Vatudradra Police Post, No. 107 in Nadroga."

VRF says it has a very clear mandate and its plans have been mapped out by what it says is highly qualified professionals and individuals.

"Our aim is NOT to damage and destroy any property that belongs to our own people or any private property for that matter. However, our property is occupied by thugs and murderers and they are ruining the future of our children."

VRF says its mandate is clear and it is as follows:
1) proving that regime and junta does not have the endorsement of the majority of the people of Fiji as it claims it does
2) and proving that there is a clear division within the military

Message to international observers
"VRF wants to send a clear message to the international communities about the above and to also send warnings to the international organisations and communities that the violent activities will step up to the next level, until the time they hear our cries and intervene.

"VRF is assessing the situation locally and also internationally and listening very carefully. We are also anticipating the regime to create counter violence and VRF is in fact waiting for them and comrades are saying "bring it on Bai/ASK we are ready from inside and out".

"At the same time we are also cautioning the general public to be on high alert as regime may try to organise attacks and blame on VRF."

The group had said it would strike out at taxi and bus operators that didn't support the call to stay off the roads yesterday but it now says it won't follow through with that.

It says: "The word went around in the majority of the work places in public and private sector and they were eagerly anticipating a massive protest to initiate.

"VRF also had communication with certain bus and taxi operators, who pleaded with VRF not to damage their properties as they are also against the regime and they say they will step in when the time is right.

"VRF has considered very carefully the feedback and called off the activities against the operators FOR NOW. "

'We are not against the people'
The group says the people of Fiji will have to accept that certain sacrifices have to be made for "our children and grand children."

"We are not against you. We do not intend to harm any innocent member of the public or their property. We are against the murderers, who are running the country.

"And, finally we are the rightful people who took an oath to provide protection to our own people. We will take you to the free Fiji for ALL in the very near future. Be ready to join the VRF and celebrations. We are there for you and for our children. God bless Fiji and pray."

VRF has neither denied nor accepted that there has been any involvement from military in its activities. A high ranking source has told Coupfourpointfive, Bainimarama's own men are part of VRF.

Until you do nothing that causes any harm to any civilian...and not behave like monkeys of 2000 who ended up burning down personal properties and stealing their hard earned crops and animals to feed the fat stomachs at the parliament...nobody will oppose YOU VRF. They WILL support YOU as much as they supported FRANK after 2006.

JUST LEARN TO BEHAVE and ENSURE you are not the racists LOT. Regime must change and not the intentions...

Military Council you are the authority and NOT IG until such time as Frank dissolve military council.

YOUR JOB IS TO ADVICE FRANK TO REPLACE AIAZ AS HE HAS NOW BECOME SECURITY RISK.

AS SOON AS AIASS IS REPLACED...THE RISK IS OVER AND NEW DECISIVE DIRECTION IS WORKED ON.

if any individual gets hurt...killed you are to face same consequence that you are asking the state to face for its role in human rights abuse.

Apart from that YOU HAVE MY FULL SUPPORT!!!

May be this is the right time for the illegal president to act, as he had said earlier on that he would only act if there were people on the street. He has been waiting for the worst to come before acting. What a stupid man enjoying himself when the ordinary people need help from his high office. He should do something now before more loss come our way. After the burning, what next? Will he keep on waiting? The comfort of his $300k salary might make his sleep on the job. Wake him up with a club [not the Defence Club] lol...

Another group of businessman and ex politicians are busy hoodwinking army and ex soldiers in doing their dirty work. Why don't you mob and thugs just shoot each other. Its evident from whats unfolding infront of us the coup culture will never be eroded from our culture.it s going to be a vicious cycle.all the so called leaders and officers are corrupt. Who do we trust now?

@7.28pm

No the risk is not going to be over with the ousting of Aiyaz.

Every single business MONKEY that have benefited from the coups in2000, 2006 through business deals, tax concessions, FNPF etc will be taken to task.
They always hide behind the word
"racism" and the "blame victims" status.
The proprietary rights and indigenous rights advocates are not racist but genuine in their cause compared to the big monkeys that claim $$$ millions in insurance after a coup like Tappoos in 2000,claim by Solanki at the burning of Kasabia Arcade in 1987, burning of Dewan Chands business in 2000, looting at RB Patel etc, etc. Ask those that were at the last Taukei meetings before the coup in 87 and 2000.

These business MONKEYS that financed the coups in 87 and 2000 gave a list of their business names and locations after they have cleared their stocks and left obsolete stocks so that the MOBS could loot and burn in order for them to claim millions in $$ in Insurance claim.

Well Annon 7.28pm we now know that Fijians have been taken for a ride and means to an end for others but as soon as a new government comes in, it is the same old ways; blamed as racists, monkeys etc.
Well not this time. It is going to go right to the wire!!
We are watching the objective of VRF of instigating foreign intervention.
Whether it is to reverse Khaiyum's work on the Fijians or is it a new form of continuing Khaiyum's work.
Only time will tell and I want to tell you that Fiji have not experience when Fijians go underground and start building network to demand for their indigenous rights.
Fed up with this MONKEY GAME!!

Message to the Fiji Security Forces

By Ratu Tevita Mara
29 August 2011

The murderer Bainimarama and Khaiyum’s brutal dictatorship and tyranny on our own people has reached a critical moment.

The oppression, corruption, poverty and brutality is rising, a 12 year old boy had his fingers broken under Bainimarama’s orders, but so is the level of anger and frustration. Protesters in the form of the new VRF group have taken it upon themselves to take action following the disrespectful treatment of the Methodist Church leaders and the cancellation of the Methodist Conference. Fiji is passing the point where brutality and threats by the military junta will no longer silence the people. The oppressive situation needs to end before it gets out of hand and there is violence and/or loss of life. We must not reach this point.

Therefore, I call upon all members of both the Fiji Police Force and the Fiji Military Forces, loyal to Fiji, to remember your sworn oaths to protect the citizens and people of Fiji. As the sworn guardians you must take back control of your once proud institutions from the murdering Bainimarama and his tiny group of dedicated power hungry cronies. You must restore respect for the Rule of law and restore the peoples trust in the security forces.

Under the murderer Bainimarama you are regularly being instructed to turn a blind eye to breaches of the law, corruption and to the brutality on our own people. This is not what you joined up for. Our people are suffering, you and your families are suffering, and so is Fiji.

To help end this you need to turn your focus on to Fiji’s real enemy: the murderer Bainimarama. With his laughable promises of free and fair elections in 2014, his continued theft of public funds, lies to the international community and the continued torture of our own people, the murderer Bainimarama has lost all credibility. Bainimarama betrayed the loyal CRW soldiers and had them silenced to cover his involvement in the 2000 Coup. The murderer Bainimarama again manipulated the military and staged the 2006 Coup to protect himself from being arrested for his involvement in the 2000 Coup and the deaths of the soldiers. This evil all needs to end now.

We all need to unite and say enough is enough! Please support the Methodist Church and the Unions, and start passive resistance now. Together we shall rebuild our beloved Fiji — A democratic, prosperous and peaceful Fiji for us and our children, and our children’s children.

LONG LIVE FREEDOM
LONG LIVE DEMOCRACY
LONG LIVE FIJI.

ENDS

@ 9.13 and 10.22;
If you knew where the stocks were moved...where were you all this time from 2001 to 2006? We need people like you to show up when going is good. But you must have been busy earning your dollar. Did you report to police what you knew? Lamu sona.

And did those business man buy off the incoming govt?...and will they buy off the new incoming ones also as they have bought the current ones also?

While these crooks enjoyed insurance payout, poor vulnerable victims kept suffering.

The business thugs are not spoken about by 7.28 as these thugs always find their way to the top parliamentary offices. As new comers/PM's get well looked after by those monkeys.

The crops and cows did not belong to these business thugs referred by you as their excess to all PM's office has affected INDIANS and Fijians alike.

@ 9.13, since you know these businesses themsleves gave their own list to target their businesses to be burnt down after they prepared the stocks out of the premises, DID you give witness in court when they fought the insurance companies for the payout.

Or were you part of the lot that these asshole businesses used to help topple those govt?

BUT AFTER BEING USED BY THEM....YOU BECAME SMALL FISH IN THE BIG POND....

Acts of thuggey and sabotage on any public and private property should not be condoned by any one at all !!, “we reap from the seeds we sow…either good or evil seeds and acts!!
”..you plan baigani , kapechi no come, baigani come!!”

As sure as the sun will raise, the repercussion or blessing hits, it may hit your descendants to the 3rd and 4th!!...that is not good…so members of the VRF always watch what you sow.

All we at the VRF want is to be heard, we crave to return to democracy asap…so let’s talk!!

@ 9.13 Monkeys!,

Indegenous rights are indegenous rights...they are not costituted as racists.

Problem is a lot of politicians turn things to suit their constituents.

This is why when you discuss indegenous rights one must involve all sides of the house to discussion that policy does not affect another indegenous neighbour or make indegenous insubordinate to others or makes others insubordinate to indegenous.

This is the law of the land. I am not saying this.

As for indegenous property sold by Aiaz...those have to be reversed.. provided that the indegenous owners did not consent the sale, etc.

Correcting Aiass's wrongs does not mean being racists. There is huge difference in this whole ball game.

I applaud and support the efforts of a people who refuse to be held captive any longer. "V is or Vendetta."

There are no sideliners in life. Whether you decide to act or not to act, you have taken a position. Don't fool yourself. A hero dies only once. A coward dies daily. I think recent events clearly show who is being cowardly. (My, my, torture even against twelved year olds now! That's a new low and black eye for Fiji!)

Freedom isn't free and there is ALWAYS a price to be paid in fighting for it. The alternative is to die by degrees, like the frog in a slow, boiling pot. Ah, yes, I am sure you remember that story. One frog is put into a pot of boiling water and when his toes hit the scorching heat, he jumps out immediately. The second, unlucky one is put into a pot of cold water. The heat is slowly turned up, little by little. The unlucky frog doesn't notie that the water is slowly getting hotter and hotter until it is too late and he is boiled alive.

A democracy resepcts all religions, all ethnicities, all people. It upholds the rights of the masses, not the privileged few. They have a voice. They have rights. And, most importantly, they hold the power. The money and rewards belong to them. A democracy is made up of the people, for the people and by the people and is earned, not given by rights of passage or at the butt end of a gun. Are we ready for it? My prayer and hope is that the answer is already in the birthing process.

And out of the ashes, rises the phoenix.

The movement of stock for insurance claim prior to 87 and 2000 riot and burning are all well documented by a retired police undercover officer and will be exposed when the time is right.

He did not reveal this earlier because of job security as all these businesmen have the network to just pick up the phone and sack him.

For instance, people who have benefited such as Dewan Chand the Peoples Charter member (owner of Quality Prints, owner of Sun Insurance, owner of Ports Authority building) and the lawyer GP Lala (one of the legal advisors of 2006); owner of LOTUS garments that supply uniforms and equipments to Police officers; owner of the building where the Nabua Police Station is located now.

Now the former undercover is safely in retirement and is waiting for the party to begin.

Fed up with all this Monkey Game while the indigenous people have been hoodwinked that redemption and freedom is on the way.

A real revolution is when it is planned by the people for the people.

Beware certain messiahs that bring messages of wanting to lead. They were part of the problem and still are. You do not need them and they will bring you ruin. Scorpions always sting - especially when they feel they were cheated in getting their share of the spoils. Look into your own hearts. Start afresh. Think the "Wizard of Oz." you wear the red slippers. Now own them. New leaders need to earn the right to lead and it has to be by example (and past behavior). They are known as public servants and are hired by the masses to represent them. They serve you, not you them. When they fail to do their job YOU fire them. It's that simple. It's your money that put them in their offices and it's you vote that can take them out. (Future tense here?)
the wisest person I have ever known once told me that the truth is the most important compass in life. With it, you will always be on the right course. Without it, you are lost at sea. You can take a life in the name of truth but you cannot destroy the message. It stands on its own merit and will stand the test of time.
My love, support and best wishes to all of those who fight for freedom. I am with you to the end and one of the thousands that have no choice and no voice but pray that you fighting for all of us now. Only when we are free and have our voices back, can we tell you how much we are counting on your courage to act.

Be aware that computers are being monitored and users identified by two large ships in Suva harbor.

Well we are going down a path hopefully those that support this VRF move will result in the Regime standing down! If this doesn't work out that way and the ordinary folkes at home don't support or this turns out nasty when the innocent start getting killed, injured or mimed we might get ourselves into a far, far worse scenario than we in! Fijians are well known for "copycating" things, look at the looting that took place during Speights coup-some just followed suit and stole, woman, men, childen rob from shops and even from people on the streets-Indo-Fijians, part Europeans and even some elderly Indo-Fijians ladies were bullied and slapped at the Suva Markets, their possessions stolen. It took 2 of us to come to their rescue including one Sunia Cama who on his own threatened the crowd! Those that advocate for such behaviour need to know the consequences of their actions-no different from supporting a coup in 1987 where the consequences are still felt years later. Is this the way or path we want to follow? Is this the solution some think will result in massive resistance, burning, looting which can result in overseas Forces coming into to Fiji like RAMSI? Is that the plan? Violence will beget more violence-sorry any accidental killing will change the scenario very, very quickly! Hopefully there is a plan in all of this-not the kind of plan George Speight had-get rid of the Indo-Fijians! So today we accept violence against Bainimarama-tomorrow when we have won-do the Indo-Fijians get the brunt of our anger, than after that who else, the muslims, who will be next for killing block??

At Monkey Game; your comment at 11.39 is finally making sense instead of calling people to shut the stinking mouth.

Like I said whoever did know the truth was enjoying his pay packet and DID NOT even trust Qarase that he would do anything, but feared to be sacked instead if he reported his findings.

Again this is not racist...it is called corruption. This is exactly what I have said.

He never found right time even when we had democratically elected govt...this shows how much trust even a police officer has of past democracy of Fiji.

I fully understand the frustration and despite him being undercover police officer, the findings still sat in his closet, for fear of being sacked.

What is the point of being an undercover police officer..when you cannot complete or report your findings to your own boss, when you were paid wages to do just that?

This is called "abuse of Office" on one hand, but I do understand where he is coming from.

I know there are a lot of cases like these. Even indegenous Fijian police were afraid of their own Indegenous Fijian controlled Govt from 1987 to 2006.

And yet we are still fighting for Indegenous rights when this is all a bunch of bullshit, dangling carrots to the Fijian's that police officers could see... because they were in the inside; but the rest of the Fiijians are given this big words of indegenous and Vanua, land and sea and you name it... When there is nothing left then it is KAI DIA!!

ALL FOR THE POLITICIANS ONLY TO FOOL US ALL TO BUY OUR VOTES!

Thank you Monkey Game for your reasonable explanation which confirms my "mouth does not stink". Good debate and good understanding.

This is why we are all in the same situation, Kai Dia and Kai Viti...while Vanua keeps taking us all for a ride ALWAYS...

The VRF, whether you condone their fires or not, is by far the best cure for Fiji. Keep it up patriots because there is no lawful way of ending our misery. As long as Khaiyum’s PER exists, the community remains blinded by his bacteria, which has infested our country and transformed Bainimarama into a boil on the land.
We have to cleanse the filth by action and by word of mouth that cannot be smothered or buried by soldier bullies or distorted by Khaiyum’s slave, Miss Information. Slowly but inevitably the people who make a difference are gaining courage as we see fire and words from The People ... more graffiti, please, it’s a great idea except for the spelling error ‘LIER’ – the proper spelling is ‘Bainimarama’. - .0035.

WHEN ALL THESE ARE SETTLE AND DONE...LET THESE TWO CROOKS PAY FOR THE DEMAGES THEY CAUSED TO THE FAMALIES THAT LOST THEIR JOBS. SOMEONE SHOULD PUNCH THE NUMBERS AND SHOW THEM HOW MUCH THEY OWE TO THESE PEOPLE. IF THEY CANT PAY..SEND THEM TO JAIL.

How come this VRF group or their work is not known here in Fiji? The only place Iam hearing or reading the VRF actions is through this blog site. May be the VRF should publicly made themselves known so that if you kill a local population while doing your thing, you can be found and taken to justice.

"DREDRE ME MAMAMDA!" JUST LAUGH IT OFF TO MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD, BUT INSIDE YOU IT HURTS AND IS EATING AWAY YOUR GUILTY SOUL. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE GUILTY ONES FROM THE PAST COUP MONKEY BUSINESS, JUST RUN AWAY FROM HERE AND GET A PLASTIC SURGERY TO HIDE YOUR GUILTY FACE.

@ ANNON 3.12PM.
