Leweni being sent to Beijing office

EARLY DAYS: Neumi Leweni now heading for Beijing. Why?

Filipe Alifereti
Well-placed sources say they have confirmation from the Chinese Embassy and Foreign Ministry that Neumi Leweni is indeed going to China.

Insiders say Leweni, who is currently Commissioner Easterns office, will be going with immediate effect to replace the current counsellor, Filipe Alifereti.

Ieremi Vasu
Alifereti was the Commanding Officer of the RFMF 8th Battalion prior to his posting to the Fiji Embassy in China in 2008. He was also the CEO of the Fiji Meat Industry Board in Nasinu, Suva.

Insiders tipped more than a week ago to Coupfourpointfive that the regime was about to rejig the roles of some of its key players and that Leweni, who played a major part in Bainimarama's take-over team (and was the public face of the coup for along time), would be going to China.

Leweni was briefly posted by Bainimarama to work in Fiji's embassy in Beijing, but was recalled in unexplained circumstances and resumed his military role.

The Commissioner of Prisons, Lieutenant Ieferemi Vasu, is being moved back as Commissioner Eastern to allow Leweni to take up the new role.

Insiders continue to insist the military is back in planning for elections asap, and that an exit strategy is being mapped out for Bainimarama.

If Coup 4.5 earlier report that VB has decided to sideline ASK or reduce his powers is correct, George Langman of FICAC needs to have a detailed file on ASK and his very close friends who have been running wild with tax evasion schemes under the protection of ASK. Or will George Langman be the fall guy in a few years time when ASK is sitting on silk cushions in the Middle East, because George Langman failed to do his job and covered for his Minister or looked the other way.

Ho hum. Leweni's being sent off to pasture - not hitting it off perhaps with the chief sardar Khaiyum?

Watch your back Pene Nonu Baleinabuli - your el patron is no more.

Exit strategy for Bainimarama?

With or without his consent? lol

To be replaced by another military dictator?

Musical chairs?

Have you noticed the huge outcry over gadaffis execution.
Becasue he was a leader he should be given a trial?
What about all those innocent civilians that have been murdered by the West, did they get their day in court??

Fark dictators, shoot them down where they stand I say.
Oh, by the way, did Osama get a trial? Well of course not, he was innocent wasn't he. His lawyers might just prove that a 170 ton plane can't take down a 500,000 ton building retrofitted in 1996 after the bombing there for fire proofing, within and between floors.
Oh and to take down Bldg.7 (32 stories) by magic, because the only thing to hit that building may have been a paper dart.

Hypocracy and deceit is everywhere, layed on thick to smoother truth.

The God of this world reigns but there are small flickers of truth out there.

Occupy Wall Street and around the world is such

Leweni opened the bank accounts for the dictator on his first trip to china now he goes to grab the loot.

I agree with your assesment. I was there at Ground Zero and Bldg 7 was across the road from the Towers and for people to say that it just got burnt and collapsed is totally stupid.
These are the same people who said that there was WMD in Iraq. Liars and Warmongers.Poor Colin Powell, didn't see it coming.

Anyway as for Leweni, Bai moved him because he is the most likely person to do a coup on Bai and Aiyaz.

"There is no rest for the wicked says my God". The fear is palpable. Bai is having sleepless nights.

The French used the guilotine. off with their heads.

Is it no wonder that top 7 wealthiest in France have voluntarily offered to pay more tax to help with the finacial crisis.

Yes, they are aware that the people have a history of lopping of peoples heads when they get to powerful and wealthy to no longer belong-care.

Its a pity the angloes did not have the same tradition of the guilotine, but
they have the tradition of guy faulks.
Time to revive this tradition and make it a NATIONAL HOLIDAY OF THE FIRST ORDER, above all others.

Let all our children take to the streets and chant " Frankiaiz, stick im up high, any money for the guy"

@Anonymous 10.14 -

Leweni is the most UNLIKELY threat to Bainimarama. He is a bandsman - a baton twirler - a follow-the-leader type of guy. He has no brains (let alone guts) to try and topple Bainimarama.
His posting to China as Counsellor is simply a military move - to further "strengthen" the military relationship between the two countries. It's also a way to sideline him, given his F**k-ups in the government ministries he's been posted to. It's also a cleansing process from within the military - the senior guys (like Aziz) can't trust Leweni (because of his devotion to Bainimarama) and hence sidelining him by placing him out of the country and bringing in a similarly dumbass follow-the-leader like Teleni is a strategic military move on Aziz's part. The ruse that's being used for Leweni's posting is that he will be in a position to convince the Chinese to send reinforcements to curb any uprising against the regime. Theh Chinese are not so dumb!!

Leweni/Teleni are simply fall guys - they don't have the brains to think for themelves or to realise that they're being set up.

Teleni will of course return to play a bigger role as Bainimarama's lap dog. He might even be the next Prime Minister when Frank decides he's had enough of the old Bauan fart - Nailatiku. And wouldn't Aiyaz Paisa Khanakai-yum love to be the PM's pupeteer when that happens!!!

It is obvious they are now into MUSICAL CHAIRS MODE!!
They are running short of FULLY qualified, trained, mature, professional and people who have a LOT of grey matter!!!!
VB never actually saw action, Leweni was a mere drummer boy, Filipe Alifereti mucked it all up with the Yalavou Beef Scheme in Nadroga, Kean turned out to be a murderer [ like Driti, Qiliho etc etc ] - the list goes on, AND on!!!

Illegal Regime are setting up a refuge in China to hide from the Fijian People, Because the Day of Reckoning is coming and they do not want to get caught in a Sewer pipe with a knife up their ass.

No need for further speculation on the reason for Leweni's posting to China. Apparently,Leweni was Bais' number one spokes-man before making jokes of Bai's Body Odor and Wind-passing, upon loud noises?
Lately,Tikoitoga has been appointed to take Leweni's spot and
by the looks of things, seem like he's not too happy with the odor&the windfalls, but who else is going to give him such an incredible job? Now Leweni who likes the job is been heard making fun of Tikoitoga as an "ASS SMELLER"? Tikoitoga heard of Leweni's joke and told the commander! The rest is history.

Major Filipe Alifereti has always been a failure.

This TF soldier was about to be fired by Qarase govt because of fraud at Fiji Meat Industry Board.
Millions of dollars lost at FMIB and Yalavou cattle scheme.

And he gets rewarded by Vuaka by being sent to China.

Some people are lucky.

Come people why castrate the very people who are rebuilding Fiji's profile to par with the rest of the world.

You are talking about Human Right Abuses........you tell me of any country in the world that don’t have any Human Rights abuse cases. Worst of all are the Aust and NZ governments for suppressing the rights of the indigenous natives. Aborigines are on the verge of extinction and the Maoris are half way there.

On the Economic side of the coin, Fiji is on the verge of becoming the world’s fastest growing economy and thanks to the vision, mission, goals and objectives of Ratu Voreqe and Mr Aiyaz.

Please let’s be fair and don’t fall into the traps of farting against thunder........It will not take us anywhere but lets holds hands and support the efforts of the present governments.

I remember a book I read where this quote was written:
"We the willing are led by the knowing, to do the impossible for the ungrateful, we have done so much for so little and we are qualified to do anything out of nothing.
Vinaka Ratu Voreqe and the present government...........
May God Bless Fiji .
Please C4.5 print my response to give balance to the blog.

@Koi Waimaro....

Your piece would have been balanced if it were factual. Your take on the economy and your assertion that we're the fastest growing economy in the world is based on WHAT??? The information provided to you by Sharon Smith and her Ministry of Misinformation?
Take a good look at IMF, World Bank and other reports (including assessments by Wadan Narsey) and get your facts right. Also, read the Reserve Bank's various media releases and monthly economic reviews and READ BETWEEN THE LINES .. there's a lot you can learn there!!
And, expand your knowledge beyond the books you have read... Radio Australia carried a story just recently about how the Ministry of Information was DISTORTING economic reports to paint a POSITIVE picture of Fiji.
We're in an economic quagmire and if you can't tell the difference then you must be one of the "lucky" few who are feeding off Frank's money-making joyride.
WAKE UP AND SMELL THE POO.
As for human rights abuses - yes, granted there are abuses all over the world. Our difference is that under the current legislation we cannot contest these abuses in a court of law. The fact of the matter is Frank and his "minders" can do whatever they want and we, the ordinary people of Fiji, cannot take them to court. Now if that, in itself, does not appear to you to be a major blow to human rights then I'm afraid, all your past reading/education has been for nought.
The quote you referred to might hold some (and I repeat "some") sway if we are being led by a DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED GOVERNMENT - which we aren't.
If you're now awake and can smell the poo then you might wish to revise your quote as follows:
"We the unwilling are led by idiots, who are wreaking economic havoc on the innocent - idiots who have done the impossible by wrecking our once flourishing economy, looting the national treasure chest and stealing from ordinary pensioners and expecting us, the unwilling, to be grateful for their acts of treason...."

PS: You farting against the thunder must truly be a "Waimaro" thing!! Maybe it's time to change tactic and begin farting against the wind .. you'll surely be able then to tell the difference between poo and a rose!!!

Because they are the same criminals that destroyed Fiji - they are about as likely to "rebuild" our nation as they are likely to grow wings and shit gold.

Their time will come.

the main reason why leweni is going to beijing is to ask for more money ?whos the hell is going to pay for all the loans china has already given to this corrupt govt, and who knows what this govt had promised in exchange for the funds and aids from china.it will be our children and grandchildren who will be burdened with this debt.e sega beka ni kila na style ni kere i lavo o la na kai rotuma sa vakau lesu tale mai qori??sa dri yati!!!!

Yes, Baini is rebuilding Fiji's profile... to par with Burma, Iran, North Korea, etc.

Don't kid yourself - his only exit strategy is to have the cabinet appoint him president and then to expand the powers of the office before setting himself up for president-for-life.

Leweni is going to Beijing because Baini trusts him to manage their slush money, so important in case Plan B becomes necessary.

But sometimes dictators don't get to execute Plan B. Better that "Ratu" Voreqe leave now and ask for a fair trial than wait and go out the same way as "Ratu" Moammar in Libya. s/Dakuwaqa

Look below and read the words properly so you can understand the pile of shit that your Bai & kaiyum(your bum boys) govt that you are blowing their trumpet on has made since 2006 as presented by a learned collegue of mine!!

"Some glaring economic facts to think about, forget about all the bullshit everyone else is talking about. According to the Fijian Bureau of Statistics, Fiji's GDP in constant $F (in other words our national income) in 2006 was 5310.2 million. In 2010, it was 5,156.6 million. First question, is the 2006 or 2010 GDP bigger? Now work out the sum of 2010 GDP - 2006 GDP. Your answer will be a negative ...153.6 million. Thats the reduction in our national income since 2006. In other words we have less national income and are poorer in 2010 compared to 2006 by that amount.

The fact is that Fiji was a richer country in 2006 than today. In terms of income per capita, individuals income has also dropped by $184 over that period. Thats the bottom-line, its an economic measure of how good a government is. These figures relate to bread and butter.

The Fijian people on average have less money today than 2006 to pay for their livelihood."

And you bokola is one of the vultures eating and abetting into this rotting saga.

We the people, will be here at the end of this illegal regime run,to ensure that you all answer and receive just punishment(s) for your

You'd probably be better-off to remain in Tonga, for the rest of your life?
