Numbers small but protest pure of heart

Video was posted by Frank Robanakadavu but story is by Coup4.5

It's easy to be smug when you've had eight years in 'government' thanks to guns and propaganda.

Frank Bainimarama supporters are stroking themselves silly over the turnout yesterday that supposedly numbered 1000 compared to the mere 40 (or 20 as they’d prefer) heckling and jeering the dictator.

What else could it have been, considering the oppression Fiji citizens have been under since Bainimarama seized control?

Anything less would've been a waste of the millions of taxpayer dollars he has squandered to stay in power since his coup, omnipotent rule he intends to cement via the election next month.

Snuck in via side doors but acting big with supporters
Most of the supporters last night were Indo-Fijians  (there would be at least 100,000 Indians living in Auckland, so is this such a big number?)

Sadly, many see Bainimarama as a benevolent benefactor: his grand gesture the removal of the country's last democratically-elected prime minister, Laisenia Qarase - ousted supposedly because of his anti-Indian policies and the Qoliqoli bill.

We now know Bainimarama’s motives were less than pure and while the hostilities between him and Qarase made it easy for him to overthrow the government, there was much to it than that.

Indians have certainly had a raw deal in Fiji and there are many who don't believe they need to know beyond that, least of all Bainimarama's crimes, including the death of citizens  under his watch, the laws he continues to change to suit himself, the muzzling of media, churches, unions and NGOs, the corruption and nepotism, not to mention the trampling of itaukei rights.

There is no rule of law in Fiji so it's all too easy to play to the audience with throwaway lines about 'tevoros and losers.'

But we need to keep the focus on making sure people remember the illegals acts of Bainimarama and those in government with him - and the ongoing military dictatorship that will continue after September 17.

Qarase has complicated things by entering the fray again, sparking a sense of Groundhog Day, with his reported comments there is no equality of citizens in Fiji.

And yet there is truth in the thought, albeit unpalatable though it is too many, especially Indians, who are outraged and angered at the suggestion they may not be ‘equal’.

Thankfully, some have seen through the subsequent regime spin doctoring and have come to Qarase’s defence.

Mick Beddoes says Qarase has assured him he was misquoted but adds he understands where Qarase was coming from.

He says there is no better example of the unfair playing field than that of Bainimarama's talks of equal citizenry and the hypocritical ‘irrevocable immunity’ he has allowed for himself, the president, his Cabinet ministers, the RFMF, police, judiciary and the public service.

The dictator has boasted again just this week that he has equalled us all in Fiji, but this is a lie. Indians have been elevated but it has come at the price of the rights of itaukei. Citizens across the board have, meanwhile, all been robbed of their rights to freedom and a democratic government.

Bainimarama has made things worse for Fiji but that is oft the case when devils assume power because of greed and ambition.

It doesn't matter whether it's Indians or Indigenous Fijians running Fiji.
What matters is how they were placed in Authority and whether they can be removed!
It's not their Ethnicity that counts, but rather the content of the person.
Currently, Fiji is run by a bunch of thugs and thieves, with the support it seems, of Indigenous Fijians and it's this part of the equation which I find difficult to comprehend!
Why are Indigenous Fijians destroying their own Culture and Traditions and replacing them with a fake one under Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum, an Indian Moslem?
Even the Australian Aborigine is not that stupid!
You might as well have a goat running Fiji. Well that makes sense, you already have a pig running it.

No matter what democracy is this definition : a rule of law that recognises all it's citizens as equal and having the right to an appointed role into legislative power , and has the freedom of speech , and religion . This was not the case in fiji before - the king bainimarama has corrected that , hail to the king .

PLEASE TRY TO UNDERSTAND THAT NOT ONE OF THE FORMER PRIME MINISTERS, CANDIDATES OR POLITICIAN OR POLITICAL PARTIES OFFICE HOLDERS BRUTALLY MURDERED 9 PEOPLE AND NOT BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE FIJI POLICE FORCE LIKE VOREQE BAINIMARAMA. WHY? , WHY? AND WHY?

STOP DIVERTING THE ATTENTION OF TRUTH ON THE MURDERER BAINIMARAMA TO RACIAL TWISTED COMMENTS MADE BY QARASE. IF QARASE HAD SERVED HIS TIME IN PRISON FOR STEALING AND WHY NOT BAINIMARAMA FOR MURDERING 9 PEOPLE ?

AIYAZ KAIYUM LEGALIZED HIS RACIST, HATRED, DISCRIMINATION AND UNFAIRNESS TREATMENTS ON DECREES AND 2013 CONSTITUTION UPON ALL THE FIJIAN RACE AND OTHER RACES, POLITICAL PARTIES INCLUDING MAKERETA WAQAVONOVONO ETC.. IN YOUR PREAMBLE OF YOUR 2013 FIJI CONSTITUTION YOU STATED THE FOLLOWING WHICH WAS AND IS A LIE AND FRAUDULENT; “WE THE PEOPLE OF FIJI…..” WE THE PEOPLE OF FIJI NEVER PARTICIPATED IN THE DISCUSSION OF OR DRAFTING NOR PASSING OF THE SAID 2013 FIJI CONSTITUTION BUT WE WERE FORCED UNDER THREATS TO ACCEPT IT.

VOREQE AND AIYAZ, THE WEATHER FORECAST BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER THE GENERAL ELECTION IN SEPTEMBER IS NOT FINE. IT WILL BE A COMBINATION OF MANMADE NATURAL DISASTERS LIKE HURRICANES, TYPHOONS, TSUNAMI, EARTHQUAKES, FLOODS, LANDSLIDES VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS AND REVOLUTIONS. LOOK AROUND YOU IN REGARDS TO THE GLOBAL SITUATION WHERE THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF THE MIDDLE EAST, AFRICA, EUROPE, CHINA, INDIA, CANADA, NORTH AND SOUTH AMERICA INCLUDING FIJI WANTS THEIR LANDS, RESOURCES AND RIGHTS BACK. NOTHING WILL STOP IT WTHIN 35 DAYS TO COME WHETHER GUNS OR NO GUNS, ARMY OR NO ARMY, DECREES OR NO DECREES AND LAWS OR NO LAWS. WE DO NOT WANT THESE PAINS AND SUFFERINGS TO COME-BY.

PLEASE FB AND AK DO THE RIGHT THING BY APOLOGIZING TO THE PEOPLE OF FIJI YOU HURT THEM. REMEMBER, THE BLOODS OF THOSE 7 SOLDIERS AND 2 CIVILIANS YOU MURDERED ARE STILL CRYING PAINFULLY AND WANTS JUSTICE TO BE CARRIED OUT PEACEFULLY. DO NOT RULE OUT THAT THE VERY PEOPLE WHO ARE WITH YOU RIGHT NOW WILL ONE DAY BACK-STAB YOU, WHILST OTHERS WILL TURN INSIDERS OR WHISTLEBLOWERS WHEN YOUR SWEETNESS LOST ITS TASTE. I WILL CERTAINLY VOTE FOR FIJI FIRST PARTY IF ALL IS CLEAN, JUST AND FAIR

Illegal Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama has already made it clear that the cabinet ministers will not resign and there will be no caretaker government as all the Prime Ministers and cabinet ministers in the past have remained in their positions until the elections.

The 2013 constitution also clearly states that the Prime Minister and other Ministers shall continue to exercise all the authority and powers vested in the Prime Minister and other Ministers under the Executive Authority of Fiji Decree until the Prime Minister assumes office after the general election.
This is the true colours of our current leader for power of greet and misleading the people into the false promises.
It clearly indicates why the new constitution was made and the reasons behind the whole list of new degrees to protect them from falling down and not to protect any Fijian rights. It is the biggest scam under people’s rights, don’t be fooled by the them because you are all educated enough to see what is right and wrong to believe them

This is the sad truth for Viti:

The only way to get corrupt morons out of government is to...stage a coup.

Because the Military are the power force, whoever controls the military controls the nation.

The current regime have mad it clear with the immunity provisions.

We came into power on a coup we will only leave on a coup.

What a sad state of affairs. You get to choose which corrupt leader you want to lead us.

Any "stability" will be short lived after the elections.

Foreign Investors take note. The rules of this game can change in the blink of an eye. You might as well flush your money down a toilet and save yourself some time and effort.

This country is now beyond a joke. It look like a dictator, who wrote his own constitution, a megalomaniac muslim and a anglo judge (and acting president) who likes young boys, are going to be legitimised by a "free and fair" (ha ha) election.

What are the alternatives. A racist supremacist (Qarase) who is controlling from behind. A corrupt former PM (MPC), who steals from the people. Who has assets beyond his parliamentary pay packet.

WE CANNOT WIN. We have a choice. Dog shit, cat shit or mongoose shit. All I know is we are going to get shit. The only real questions is: Which Variety will we get?

Below is Bainimarama the Dictator's response when he has questioned if he losses the election will there be another coup?
"You are asking a hypothetical question. You don't know what will happen, no one here knows what will happen in the next two weeks. (What is the guarantee that it will not happen again?) You vote me, you vote me into parliament, and there will be no coup."

IS THIS A KIND OF LEADER WHO IS TRYING TO COERCE PEOPLE TO VOTE HIM IN BECAUSE IF NOT HE WILL DO ANOTHER COUP.

Frank Robanakadavu and Josaia Rasiga are just like the rest of them scattered around Australia as well as the runaway Tongan who claims to be Fijian. Wait and see for yourself when PM goes to Australia.Because the elections are now so near, they are so eagerly praying that their papers or applications are granted before the election results are out. Otherwise all those years in Australia and New Zealand will come to waste when the new democratic government, Fiji First takes office. and will go for their scalps. The fijian saying "Waraka, Namaka" I am waiting to see how the FFP campaign in Down under will look like.

You are the proud indigenous people of our beloved Fiji. You are Fijian, by the Grace of almighty God!

No kai-loma criminal from Kiuva, and his Indian Muslim thief, who committed treason, murder and corruption against the people of Fiji can take that from you!

Frank Bainimarama and his Indian Muslim thief Khaiyum have already attacked your race as a people so that they can get access to your native lands for their own greedy goals and the benefit of their corrupt family and friends.

They openly attacked two of your key institutions that kept you united as a people – the Great Council of Chiefs and your leaders of the Methodist Church. But you must remember that these institutions also kept you united and strong as a people. Whatever issues you have against these institutions can easily be fixed.

Bainimarama and Khaiyum used evil lies and false accusations to accuse these institutions of corruption and in so doing enticed your emotional hunger into believing them via the sweetness of gossip and kakase.

Bainimarama and Khaiyum are more corrupt and crooked than any other government in Fiji’s history. This is a fact. They also insulted your Lord Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday 2013. This is a fact. But like the apostle Peter, you didn't defend Jesus Christ.

What Bainimarama and his Indian Muslim thief Khaiyum are doing to you is all about RACE. The Fijian Race! This is a fact. They need to break down your strong identity and unity so that they can divide and conquer you by easilymanipulating your generous and friendly customs and fooling the less educated of you into believing their lies.

Both Bainimarama and Khaiyum have already degraded your race of people to an “owner of something” – an iTaukei, no longer referring to you as Fijians in your homeland - the proud indigenous people of Fiji. This is a bloody insult to you as a people and to your children and your ancestors! It must be stopped!

Remember, non-indigenous Indians who are born and live in India still call themselves Indians without having to degrade the indigenous race to just being “owners of something”! This is the same in China, Africa, Samoa and Tonga! So why is it different in Fiji? They want your valuable lands!

Fijians, you must stand-up together against Frank Bainimarama and his junta and be recognized as a race and as a people! The survival of your race and ownership of your lands depends on it.

Chiefs, stop hiding and lead your people to victory, Do your job, stand-up and be counted and protect our future as a country and as a nation!

Anonymous 5:22, how am I misquoting the Quran? Show me. But beware the wrath of Allah if you distort the Quran.

And how dare you threaten me! I'm simply quoting from the Quran. Shouldn't you be blessing rather than cursing me for quoting directly from the Quran?

It would be a distortion to say that the Quran does not advocate violence in any form. That simply isn't true, as I've demonstrated in passage after passage.

Here's another:

Quran (4:95) - "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward . . ."

This passage criticizes "peaceful" Muslims who do not join in the violence, letting them know that they are less worthy in Allah's eyes. It also demolishes the modern myth that "Jihad" doesn't mean holy war in the Quran, but rather a spiritual struggle. Not only is the Arabic word used in this passage, but it is clearly not referring to anything spiritual, since the physically disabled are given exemption. The Hadith reveals the context of the passage to be in response to a blind man's protest that he is unable to engage in Jihad and this is reflected in other translations of the verse.

The Court Ruling advised The President to Appoint a Caretaker Government and Neutral Prime Minister and declare an election within 6 months.

We all know that the late President was a very elderly man and that he was more than likely suffering symptoms of dementia and therefore, out of touch with reality and therefore incapable of making any decisions pertaining to his High Office.
But Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum and Frank Bainimarama had a more sinister plot to unfold and elected instead to abrogate The Constitution instead of following the Ruling of Fiji's Court of Appeal.
This was very easy to implement because of the late President's mental state at that time.

This coup d'etat, the most heinous, brutal, oppressive and destructive within Fiji's modern times, can be brought to an abrupt end, in a matter of hours!
All that is needed is the arrest, detention, incarceration and removal from Viti Levu of key Regime Member, and under Fiji's 1997 Constitution and in accordance with it, a reconvened G.C.C. to Appoint a legitimate President, Vice President, a Caretaker Government and Neutral Prime Minister. The Caretaker Government must then recommend a New Military Commander who in turn should be instructed to declare Martial Law, pending fresh elections within 6 months. All Appointments must be subject to immediate dismissal and arrest if they choose to contravene their instructions and on the basis that such Appointments are only until Law and Order has been restored under the 1997 Constitution.

There is no doubt that Fijians have had enough, are fearful of another 2000 repeat of bloodshed and looting and reprisals, but that they are also determined now, to stop this farce and to bring closure to it as quickly as possible.
The time for talk to stop has come and the time for action to replace that talk, has come.
Many Soldiers are now willing to follow LEGAL ORDERS, where once they were expected to follow illegal orders!

I'm not a Racist, we are all the same Race, the Human Race, but I recognise that Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum happens to be Indian and that he happens to be a Moslem.
Given all the current upheavals around the World at the moment, it's not unreasonable therefore, to be suspicious of Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum and his motivations and agenda. If he was green with pink spots, then I would say he was green with pink spots. If he was a white Catholic such as myself, then I would describe him as a white Catholic. But he's not and I have described him as he is, Indian and Moslem! There is no Racism in that, it's factual. Frank Bainimarama on the other hand, is a demented Catholic Indigenous Fijian of mixed blood!
The question remains, who do Fijians want running their Country and their Government?
We all know Frank is on death's doorstep and that if in place of Authority, Aiyaz will replace him upon his death and that Fiji's new fake Constitution will be replaced with an Islamic one with Aiyaz as Chief Minister, Military Commander and President, while abolishing all Indigenous Land Rights and Indigenous Institutions.

What was the criteria to give prime commercial property next to Garden city to chinese?
Land is scarce around Suva and this land was worth million of dollars.
How much it was given to the chinese for?
This land is very large piece of land.

It’s very interesting that now Chaudhary is saying he will work out policy differences with SODELPA post election. He further said he wants both major races to work together. This guy together with Qarase has many years in parliament to work out collaborative initiatives and achieve those objectives. However they both chose brinkmanship, confrontational and divisive attitudes resulting in unresolved land issues and escalated crimes against Indo Fijian community. Nearly 2 generations have grown up since Rabuka’s coups and I have been sick of being regarded as a second class citizen. Bainimarama may not be perfect but much better than what the likes of Chaudhary and Qarase can offer.

No one has answered my previous question. I understand SODELPA has been divided and breaking up as some candidates are withdrawing their names from the nomination list. Four new candidates names have been announced on Saturday. Qarase's racial comments has further caused the division. There is no leadership in the party. Ro Kepa has stopped campaigning and is not fronting up to the media. I am a SODELPA supporter and I pray that soon everything is patched up and we will be united. Please don't fight now as it is too late. Otherwise we will get the thumping in the election. Those who want Rabuka as the leader please understand it is to late to change. Make him the President once SODELPA wins. Our aim is should be SODELPA win.

Over the last 8 years the average economic growth has been 1.7% on average with 12,000 graduates with no job. This government plans to bring the retirement age to 50 if elected into office. This is not the right strategy to resolve the unemployment and poverty problem in the country. Till Khayium rules the confidence will not be there in the economy for quality investment. This is evident from the 8 years of Khayium rule.
Khayium is a threat to long term peace and stability.

Here's another for us to meditate on, as we examine the false earlier claim that the Quran does not advocate violence in any way:

Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement".

Isa, vakaloloma noda Viti, Ive never heard so much badmouthing, backstabbing and such negative comments between political parties in the history of Fiji Politics. The Fiji we used to know has disappeared in front of us. I wonder what will be the end of all this. We have a prime minister who cannt think straight, uneducated ( sorry to say) and always rely on AG's biased decisions, Indigenous rights have been stripped off, Kai Dia ( Muslims) getting more "viavia levu" as a result of all this. One thing I know for sure: indigenious Fijians are crying silently, they dont talk much, you may not see the pain..they will certainly revolt if sensitive issues are going to be enacted in favour of the vulagis ( Indians and other non indigenous). This is their land we're talking about; their lifeline, the reason for their existence and survival on their homeland. Muslims you better be careful as you're treading on thin ice!

So much for bashing Muslims of Fiji. Wasn't Mohammed Tora (Muslim) part of the Taukei Movement in 1987 and Sunni Muslims in Fiji via the Fiji Muslim League almost always called for separate representation based on religion (Islam). Tora was also part of SVT and SDL regimes and another figure late DR. Ahemed Ali was the champion of Indigenous rights in the Alliance Party. Looks like Aiyaz realised that the best bet is multiracial Fiji and not separate representation of FML.

My point is, Frank purports to support all thing Indigenous, then wants to support all things non-Indigenous. My description of him being of mixed Ethnicity, implies that he is a confused individual who doesn't feel good about his own Ancestry, not knowing just where he belongs.
The result is, he swings back and forth, not because he cares, but because he doesn't feel good about himself.
And that can't be good for Fijians! By the way, I noticed you didn't say anything about that Fiji First Candidate who attacked one of your fellow Fijians who complained about Frank's Decrees and their effect on Land protection etc.

Prince Viliame @ 2:12 states the following:

"No matter what democracy is this definition : a rule of law that recognises all it's citizens as equal and having the right to an appointed role into legislative power , and has the freedom of speech , and religion . This was not the case in fiji before - the king bainimarama has corrected that , hail to the king ."

Actually, democracy isn't rule of law, legislative power and freedoms. These are all available under other forms of government, such as limited monarchies. No, democracy can really be boiled down to two elements. The first is majority rule. The second is minority rights.

Democracy comes in many forms. Each of us can come to our own conclusions regarding how much democracy we enjoyed in Fiji before 2006. My own feeling is that our democracy was flawed, experienced some setbacks, but was finally beginning to make some belated progress toward perfecting itself in the Fijian context.

But no one should confuse what has occurred since December 2006 with democracy. It is nothing of the kind. The elements of majority rule and minority rights have been conspicuous by their absence.

Even by Prince Viliame's own standards, this regime has been undemocratic — anti-democratic, in fact. Rule of law has been thrown out the window. The regime totally ignored the Appeal Court ruling in Qarase v. Bainimarama et al. It illegally dismissed the judiciary, replacing it with handpicked sycophants. It purported to abrogated our Constitution, arbitrarily replacing it with a document created wholecloth without public consultation or ratification. It enacted illegal decrees, many of which explicitly forbid judicial recourse. Citizens are not equal before the law. It has one standard for its cronies and another for its politicial enemies. It has been one-sided in its enforcement of laws and its illegal decrees. It repeatedly and improperly interferes with court proceedings.

"An appointed role into legislative power" is a strange turn of phrase, since "appointed" does not mean elected. Obviously Fijians haven't shared legislative power since Bainimarama disbanded the Parliament.

Freedom of speech and freedom of religion are not protected in Bainimarama's Fiji, by any objective measure. Obvious examples are the press censorship and the ban on the Methodists' AGM.

Viliame fashions himself as a "prince" and Bainimarama as "king". He doesn't know or respect democracy, and shouldn't be given any credence by those of us who do.

How about a list of them as well. The obvious lack of comments against the i-taukei members of this government is clear in that their simply is wide spread racism against the Indian community in particular the people from the Islamic faith at this time.I have one suggestion to all the Indians in this country. To the gent 1103 am - I'm a fiji muslim , and yes this is quite sad . What is really sad , is Fiji Muslims are the target of such hate at this time of our lives , it's amazing how much hate is spread and how this site , and many people in fiji speak of democracy and fair play and they have such a huge mandate : hatred of Muslims . Democracy also means tolerance for other races and religions . Besides fiji Muslims are very peaceful and NEver have any extremist affiliations let alone involvement . Yes I agree that not all Muslims support fiji first but they are left with no choice when they see what this blog encourages and allows . I've seen everything here from death threats , to obscene profanities , to getting rid of Indians , and even hate against Fijians as well . This has to stop if Fiji is to progress as a nation . Fiji is unique to day of the few diverse cultures from Polynesia , Asia , Anglo and of course Fijian brothers . I cannot envisage fiji without of these ....fiji is unique and similar to countries like Mauritius where 2 major races have coexisted without trouble . Why do we resort to hate ? If fiji first wins , you all have the opportunity to vote them out in 5 years or so .... Unite Fiji that's our only solution !!!!!!

I hope people in NZ supporting FijiFirst still remember....

NEW ZEALAND's High Commissioner to Fiji, Michael Green, has been declared 'persona non grata' by the interim government, Foreign Minister Winston Peters said today.

''The New Zealand Government deplores this action. Expelling diplomats is not the way for neighbours to conduct their relationship,'' Mr Peters said in a Pacnews report.

''Mike Green is a highly respected senior diplomat of over 30 years standing, and a man of great integrity. He enjoys the full confidence of our government. We are not aware of any activities he has undertaken that justify Fiji's actions,'' Mr Peters said.

''He has, in the course of his duties, drawn attention to New Zealand's policy in the wake of the coup. That is the role of a diplomat, and he has not said anything other than what the Prime Minister and myself have been saying.''

''Declaring a High Commissioner persona non grata is a very grave act for any country to take. It is just one step below breaking relations,'' Mr Peters added.

''There will undoubtedly be consequences for Fiji, as this action will be viewed very seriously not only by us, but by Fijis other international partners including Pacific Island nations, Australia, the United States, and the European Union.''

Mr Peters said he had been in contact with the interim government in Fiji in an effort to work the issue through, and to urge them to reflect further.

''Unfortunately it seems they are going ahead with this completely unjustifiable action. We will now consider our options, and the regime can expect a strong reaction. The government will be undertaking a full review of all aspects of the bilateral relationship, and in such circumstances it is difficult to see how we can be expected to show flexibility on issues such as the visa ban.''

Mr Peters said: ''Fiji's action is particularly troubling given that Suva is host to a number of important regional institutions, including the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, and High Commissioners and Ambassadors accredited to Fiji are the senior country representatives to those institutions.''

Mr Peters said he was puzzled by Fiji's timing, given New Zealand had acknowledged the recent lifting of emergency regulations as a positive step, and the Pacific Islands Forum-Fiji Joint Working Group appeared to have made progress on an acceptable timetable for elections.

This man is Mad!!

I was at Bainimarama's campaign at Namaka Methodist hall last week. He had a smart campaign strategy - speak more so that there is less time for questions to be asked.

Anyway, during the short question time, Bainimarama was happy to answer questions when people brought up their personal grievances (as usual and typical of him)however, during the one lone question that was directed at the 2013 Constitution, instead of providing any answers, a very angry Bainimarama started verbally attacking the person who raised the question and accusing SODELPA supporters of twisting the intentions of government etc etc!

Around the grog bowl in the same Namaka hall after the meeting, we were of the same view in that it was of no use asking Bainimarama any questions about the current government policies as he cannot rationally explain any of it.

What a useless leader should he be elected into parliment?

Nancy who commented about Israel and Palestine issue as same as fiji .... Ha ha ha ha ... Are u you retarded ? Or have the brain deficiency ? I'm a Kailoma , living in New Zealand , Muslims in fiji are wonderful people .

Israel is super power in hiding !! They butcher and bomb children all the time !!! And every time they use the same excuse . Hamas also cannot threaten Israel the way that they have - they can both coexist !!! That is not happening in fiji ... No one is destroying the lives of anyone let alone Fijians , no one is bombing !!!! Muslims in fiji are awesome n peace loving . Even many Fijians are Muslims !!! Let alone famous personalities around the world !!!!

We all have progressed in life and it appears that Fijians just want to blame ... Today it's Muslims , tomorrow the Kailoma , Thursday the rotuman , next year you guys will also say Obama is also a muslim terrorist because his father was a muslim !!!! Come on you primitive pig ... Get a hold of yourself and your beliefs ... Majority Fijians need to learn tolerance and respect before they get any in return .

Dear Fellow Fijians abroad and in Fiji : here is my mandate (read ..." Man ... Date ) for Fiji prior to the next elections , I assure you under my leadership all will be good in the hood .

Under my leadership:

1. All citizens of Fiji will be equal but some will be more equal than others which equals to a slightly unequal equality ... I'm a little confused about being equal so let's just say under me 1+1 won't equal to 2 .
2. All women will be encouraged to stay at home and make babies . Those who cannot bear babies will be assigned to kitchen duties . The fiji women's rights movement will be abolished because frankly I'm freakin tired of this feminist bullshit !! In replacement I'm going to establish the " man cave " movement where men who wanna hangout , skull a few beers , shoot some pool , watch sports and do other manly things will be encouraged to apply for membership .

3. I'm going to establish " a national hug and f... K day " oh yeah that needed to be done during British rule : why ? I'm appalled and quite disgruntled at the racial attacks on each other , therefore on the national "Hug and fk ( now known as Huff day ) you will be required to embrace thy neighbour , indian Fijian , Chinese , muslim , Kailoma , whatever it is , upon first sighting , you need to hug and ask for permission to Fk after that . Please no rape !!! Otherwise we shall give you the cassava patch treatment .

4. Suva point will become a nudist beach . Yup you bitches that's what I'm saying .... Oh yeah sounds good ? No one over 50 will be allowed on that beach . Only the lonely and sexy need apply . Alcohol will be served responsibly and beach sex will certainly be encouraged . Condom vending machines will be supplied by Jayanti umaria , and safe sex will be advocated . Please no ass farking on the beach . Beach towels will be washed bad supplied by flagstaff laundry and super sexy Australian girls will be in 2 piece bikinis ready to hand you clean towels .

6. All men will be allowed to have 2 weeks off in a year without their wives - this will reduce divorce rates .

Anonymous said...

7. I will reduce the duty on all petrol. It's too expensive in fiji . In place I will increase alcohol duty . You will be encouraged to Make " home brew " and drum roll please...marijuana will be legalised !!!! You can thank me later ... Please remain on your seats !!!! You all smoke weed anyway there !!! So after consulting with my team I've decided it's going to be legal . Please remember I'm a graduate of standford , so economics is always going to be a key player - after legalisation of marijuana ... Watch the tourist numbers go up drastically !!!! No one will ever travel to holland , everyone will come to fiji ( to smoke and fk ) and all itaukei land owners can benefit from growing and selling weed . Only Fijians will be allowed to grow weed . Indians you got sugar cane to look after ...
8. Great council of chiefs will be re instated !!! Yes , these cool dudes will all be given gold sulus and raybans , to stay cool . Their job as spiritual leaders is to encourage unity and inter marriages amongst all communities , as such if they need to let off a little steam , they can poke away at willing citizens . They will be given annual entertainment allowances , I hear you ask " where is that going to be funded from " ? Simple : all trade unionist will be banned and unions abolished !!! Simply put : all these ass farkers .. Get combined salaries running into millions of dollars and look what they do ? They will have no part in politics ... Look at Chaudhary !!! Gcc will be our CIA .. FBI ... Fbc , FDB , telecom , you name it . But they report to me aye !!! Can't let people just go nuts in our country .

Last but not the least : St Giles will be renovated and called Prince Charles : why ? Because prince Charles is one f... King nut to go out with ugly b.... camilla Parker ... So this one will be in his memory . I will then put all the current , former , dead or alive politicians , unionists , thugs at " prince Charles " so that They can pull each other's penises in the hope that the shit which comes out of their arses will finally find a home , because for too long the people of fiji have taken their shit . I'm for fiji and fiji only .

NEWS UPDATE:

Social Democratic Liberal Party leader Ro Teimumu Kepa concurs with former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase, that there can never be equal citizenry in Fiji. Speaking exclusively to FBC today Kepa says “We cannot say that everybody, is equal to the first settlers on the land, because they are the indigenous”. This was Kepas’s first interview at the height of SODELPA’s campaign. She says i-taukei people first settled Fiji and should have first rights to Land and other matters which have been the centre of discussions in recent months. The SODELPA leader supports the comments by Qarase, who told party supporters at Davuilevu Housing in Nasinu that he believed God has given Fiji to the iTaukei. He claims God gave the land to the forefathers of the iTaukei people. - See more at: http://www.fbc.com.fj/fiji/22097/sodelpa-leader-backs-qarase%E2%80%99s-comments#sthash.met3vAZy.dpuf

So now it's really over. Ro Teimumu is as mad as Qarase. You can't win an election in Fiji saying this kind of shit. Everyone has moved on. Bye bye SODELPA. Bye bye Coup 4.5. Sa oti vakadua. Hello democratically elected PM Bainimarama. Anyone want to take bets in the margin of the landslide?

high unemployment
high poverty
high cost of living
high corruption and nepotism,
child deaths from malnutrition
theft of native lands
etc.
While most Prime Minister's jump at the chance to face the media, Bainimarama is afraid to face foreign journalists in N.Z. They will ask difficult questions that will reinforce to the world Bainimarama's lack of ability and intelligence befitting a Prime Minister.

"IT has been more than four months and I still have not heard from the Ministry of Health," Farina Nisha said from her Koronivia home in Nausori yesterday.

Ms Nisha's story was highlighted in this newspaper in April early this year.

She had claimed that she delivered her son Mohammed Uzaer Ali on April 13 while being forced to walk from the observation room in the maternity ward to the delivery room, allegedly resulting in the newborn falling on the floor and suffering injuries.

"I had lodged a complaint with the Ministry of Health after the incident and I also met with the Minister Dr Neil Sharma," Ms Nisha said.

"He said they were going to look into it and conduct investigations but until today, I have not heard anything from the ministry about my case."

Bainimarama's lies and fear tactics wont work on NZ journalists. So being the lying, corrupt dictator that he is, Bainimarama hid form the media and had other people answering questions put to him. As FijiFirst party leader Bainimarama shows that he is a leader by fear and lies, and he ended up looking like the puppet and a fool that we all know him to be.

Both native Fijians and indo-Fijians need to fear Bainimarama. He is destroying native Fijian identify, land rights, customs and traditions and stealing Fiji's wealth. Already Bainimarama has insulted and destroyed the Great Council of Chiefs and the Methodist Church leadership. Under Bainimarama and khaiyum there is no rule of law and native Fijians are no longer Fijians! They have been degraded! For now at least. Bainimarama's so called equal citizenry is also driving a greater wedge between native Fijians and indo-Fijians, that has the real potential to develop into something more nasty. The innocent will be caught in the middle.

ABOUT 300 Lomaivuna High School students did not attend school last Tuesday and Wednesday because of water problems at the school.

Since its establishment in 1972, students and teachers have had to rely on rain water and a nearby creek for water.

Permanent secretary for Education Dr Brij Lal said the ministry was well aware of the water situation at Lomaivuna High School and the ministry was also negotiating with the Commissioner Central's Office to supply water to the school.

Army says...anyone who listens to Franks interview should realise a number of things...Frank does not advocate Freedom and Equality and his attitude is more of a vengeful nature. How the people of Fiji can accept such a leader or illegal Prime Minister of a country who uses words such as Bull Shit in an interview is beyond comprehension of what is morally right. We have a responsibility to ensure the future of our Children is stable and their legal rights as individuals protected. Token Government handout is not the way to go. We learnt that during Qarase's SDL and Rabuka's tenure and should have learnt from it by now. Frank is what anyone would term an idiot when one speaks to him. He is incoherent and cannot be understood. If that is the case, how can we accept such a person to lead the country. If political issues such as race religion, land are the main issues to decide these things, than we are joining Frank in his stupidity. We need as a people to reform and re-examine our morals and values and these have been passed down through our customs and rich heritage and based on respect. Frank respects no man. Those who support Frank exudes the same qualities. Fiji will fall down this path and it is evident in the manner in which people express themselves, more with emotion rather than logic. Frank claims the people of Fiji are illiterate and know very little. He classifies the people of Fiji with his mental capacity and the mental capacity of the soldiers. We have grown from 1987 and 2000 and 2006. We all know all these coups are wrong but we continue to let our emotions overcome reason. Land issues, race issues, religious issues are political issues but we as a people know better because we are always willing to share with our neighbours the meagre that we have and that is why every Fijian whether of Indian, Chinese, Kailoma or whatever classification appreciate about being a Fijian. We care. Do we care enough to let Fiji continue to be led by a Military Dictator with the hope that he would come to his senses. We did the same with Rabuka but this was only token to allow Rabuka to return Fiji to democracy and look what happened when Labour won...yep...We need to rid this country of this dictator and the people of Fiji must decide its own destiny, respecting every other race living in Fiji and also respecting the indigenous people of the land, whose rights have been enshrined Internationally, recognised for the injustice caused to them and in turn respect will be gained. This has been done in Australia NZ, USA and other countries and evident with the Melanesian Forum and other Pacific Island Forum who are now deciding their fate and not letting big brothers decide our fate. Having said that we are a part of the Global Community and need to work in collaboration with the Global community realising this this can only be achieved with a Democratic Government. Frank has made the big decision returning Fiji to the polls and it is now up to the people to wrest Fiji back from oppression.

Anonymous said...

Army says...listening to Franks QA during his trip to NZ is unconvincing. There is no guarantee that if Fiji First and Frank does not win the election, will there be no more coup.

Anonymous said...

What? Was Frank afraid to face the foreign media for questions and answers? Yes, we know that he knows he is too stupid and too weak to answer the hard and fast questions from those foreign journalists who are real journalists anyway, unlike our "Fiji Sun" reporters who would just ask him the kind of questions with the already prepared answers by the puppet reporters themselves.
Those who are going to vote for stupid person are more stupid themselves.

Anonymous said...

Hey guys, go win this fricken election first.
Then change the constitution to make if more democratic, hand over power to a caretaker government after announcing a new election say in two years - and Mahen and Qarase can have a go at each then - in a free and fair election.

Get your priorities right - you have to win this election first.
At this time why bother with crap like like "Fijian" as the common name, of Christianity in constitution...all that come up in the next round - that is if you are left standing for the next round.

This is about winning the election first.

Goes for all of you - SoDELP, FLP, ADP, PDP, DDT and whoever else is out there.

Army says...every one should listen to Franks speech and the public QA and his response. Franks is a bully, a thug, standover man and acts in NZ like he is in Fiji with his military buffoons hanging around him to do his bidding. During his initial speech, a heckler heckling Frank got the reaction...Someone remove that person...yes you...we can see you, don't turn around you you....than...I was told to ignore the losers....Calling the people of Fiji..the citizens of Fiji losers and Devils...This is Fiji's PM today. Indians in Fiji must realise and know that in supporting Frank they are dancing with the devil. The question was posted to Frank by one of his supporters...what guarantee can Frank give that there wont be another coup....Franks response...will you be here tomorrow. Do you know whats going to happen in two weeks...What a joke...His supporter a muslim got upset when Frank started questioning him and he said to Frank, Im asking you the question. FRANK will not guarantee there wont be another coup because if another party wins other than his own party and moves are made to return Fiji to a proper democracy removing what he has done, Frank has the CRIMINAL COUNCIL - Military Council to do his bidding. Australia and NZ would have caught onto his comments. Any investor hoping Fiji would return to democracy will now raise the question of whether it is worth investing in Fiji if Frank the Military Thug cannot guarantee a coup. A kailoma posted the last question again asking what he has to say to the protestors that will convince them that what he is doing is for the betterment of the country...Frank first looked bewildered evidently because he did not comprehend the question and the lady again asked...what guarantee will you give to the protestors and the people attending Fiji First campaign here in Auckland that you will govern the country democratically and not autocratically....and his response....I CLOSE MY EYES AND MY EARS....YEP...That is the FRANK, the COMMON CRIMINAL Indians, Kailoma's and Itaukei supporters of Fiji First want as a PM. Having said that we should not be inclined to accept the race based politics of SODELPA. Unless they move away from stirring the emotions of the itaukei which now has become quite boring and an insult to the intelligence of the itaukei.

I am in Suva at the moment investigating Fiji’s path to democracy.
Today I visited the Fiji Elections Office, their Electoral Commission, and had an in-depth discussion with the Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem.
My questions and discussion focused on whether or not Fiji would be having free and fair elections on September 17.
In past elections there have been several incidences of vote tampering, ballot box stacking and in one particular example more votes cast than registered electors in a constituency.
Despite international observers in the past declaring elections free and fair it is obvious to all that Fiji’s past elections have been far from that.

Independence of Fiji Elections Office
The Fiji Elections Office is independent, just like New Zealand’s Electoral Commission. They are charged with overseeing the election and electoral law, which at present is by decree, but it is the law nonetheless.
I spent quite a bit of time understanding their voting processes and there are some quite innovative techniques they are utilising to combat voter fraud and vote rigging

Anonymous said...

Voter Registration
The first step has been a comprehensive voter education and registration process that has been running for two years. Registered voters have a voter id card, this is not at all like the Easy Vote card that is so easily rorted in NZ. The Fijian voter registration card is a photo id, it also contains biometric data (fingerprints) which require a match of at least 8 points.
The Fijian registered voters carry these cards everywhere. When I asked my cab diver last night, when I arrived in Suva, if he was registered to vote, he reached into his pocket and flourished it with obvious pride. Everyone eligible and registered to vote has one of these and a random sample on the streets shows that everyone without fail carries it.
What this means is that only registered voters will be able to vote, and they require the photo and biometric identification in order to vote. This is a significant advancement over our voter registration processes in NZ. I should know as I have just watched my 18-year-old son register to vote in NZ and our processes are farcical to say the least compared to what Fiji has initiated.

Anonymous said...

Security of ballots
The next step in ensuring that votes are secure is the voting system itself. The voting booths are replicas of NZ voting booths. In fact they have been supplied from New Zealand. This is a change from Fiji’s previous system for voting where a voter entered a secluded booth and could cast their vote. No one could see them vote, or indeed see if anything was produced from pockets or shirts to assist in altering or damaging voting papers.
In order to prevent vote stacking the system is very interesting. All the ballot boxes are transparent. So the first voter into a polling station to cast their vote, sill be able to see that their vote is indeed the first vote. Likewise all voters can see that the person before them has voted as the ballots, once sealed are placed in the transparent ballot box.
To further ensure vote stacking is prevented voters are assigned an actual polling station to vote at. No more than 500 voters are assigned to a polling station. If a village has 900 registered voter then two polling stations will be established. One will accept 500 voters, and the other 400 voters. You can only vote at the station you have been assigned to unless a special vote request is made before the election.
On election night the votes are counted by officials and must tally with the total allowable votes. It is not possible for a voting station to record more than 500 votes. if they do an investigation is started immediately and all votes from that station are sequestered pending Police and FICAC (Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption) investigations.
Once counted and the result notified to the FEO the ballots are sealed once again in the ballot boxes and sent to Suva.

Voter intimidation and behaviour of
political parties
They have also established rules around the behaviour of political parties on election day in order to prevent voter intimidation. A zone around each polling station is established that is 300m. No party political colours, signs, hoardings or branding is permitted within the 300m boundary. On top of that political parties are forbidden on election day from displaying colours, ribbons or signage on vehicles nor are they permitted to officially provide transport to or from polling stations and the treating laws and penalties are also very severe.
The famous KFC activities of Labour in South Auckland would result in a FICAC investigation and prosecution.
All very sensible rules and regulations to ensure an intimidation free voting experience while maintaining transparency with the voting process from beginning to end.

So what if there are breaches?
The FEO administers the law, and if they discover breaches and what appears to be a prima facie breach of regulations they immediately refer the complaint to the FICAC who are charged with investigating and if necessary prosecuting offenders.
Both the FEO and the FICAC are independent of government and act under their own set of laws. The Director of Public Prosecutions is not involved at all in these stages, though may become involved after FICAC has completed their investigations an laid charges.
This is in stark contrast to the situation we have in New Zealand where the Electoral Commission refers to the Police who then do absolutely nothing.
Already there are several investigations underway against individuals and political parties for breaching electoral rules. The FICAC is onto it.

One person, One vote, One value
That is the mantra of the FEO and from what I have seen the FEO is looking at ensuring that Fiji will have an election that is free and fair. Certainly a vast improvement on previous elections.
At the FEO HQ there was a +constant bustle of activity, with elections
officials heading out for training sessions, and a general positivity that what they are doing is making a difference.
I asked who else in the media from New Zealand has visited and asked similar questions. The answer was telling. No one else.

It staggers me that the likes of Barbara Dreaver and Michael Field, especially, and other journalists have the cheek to write about Fiji’s elections without even finding out precisely what Fiji has done to ensure free and fair elections.
The changes here are astonishing, and I will write on those in coming days. But suffice to say the impression from roaming Suva and interviewing anyone whom I please would suggest that Kiwis are being misled about the changes that Fiji has undertaken. Misled to the point of actually being deliberate and politically motivated.
I have bothered to come here, I have bothered to understand the changes occurring in the country of my birth and I have to say I am proud of what I am witnessing.
Will Fiji’s elections be free and fair?
Yes they will be, indeed I think they will be freer and fairer than New Zealand’s.

Major General SL Rabuka was the best leadership candidate for SODELPA. He is a strong leader who can lead from the front. The difference between Rabuka's coup and Bai's coup, the former was fighting for indigenous supremacy which augured well with the vast majority of the Fijians at that time while the latter's coup was personal survival. The Marama Roko Tui Dreketi need to be highly visible in the party's campaign and should realise that being a leader she need to campaign vigorously and be in a man's shoes, so to speak. Otherwise the party's efforts to win the 2014 election will not be successful.

@ Anon 11:45am...If you agree with Rabuka's coup, you than Sir should go and live with your Major General in his village of Drekeniwai and consume home brew...Have you not learnt...You are no different to Frank...What Rabuka did was under the guise of fighting for indigenous supremacy and where has that left you itaukei...dancing with Frank to a tune to which you are dancing with two left feet. Continue your race based politics to the detriment of the itaukei. Respect is all every other race in Fiji is asking for. Respect. If you want respect, than respect the other races and you will get and have what you want. You should join the SODELPA during their campaign trail and tell them what you want them to do instead of being the side line referee majority of Fijians are known for when Fiji competes in Sevens. Win you happy...lose your sour...lol...

I have long been a critic of Bainimarama and yet he is saying all the right things that will help Fiji move forward. The big picture is simply this - politicians in Fiji did not have the political will to move the country to a more united and progressive Fiji. Bainimarama's entry should be a wake up call to all politicians that the public have had enough of race based politics. I am an undecided voter but i am leaning towards the dictator as his vision is one that will simply make that change. To Ro Teimumu - we now live in a modern world, and it is time that Fijians quit feeling precious and compete with other human beings for the prize which is ahead them. No more favouritism please.

Anon @ 11.45am - I FULLY AGREE WITH YOU! YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD!

Ro Teimumu Kepa says there can never be equal citizenry between the indigenous people (iTaukei) and other Fijians.
Speaking on FBC Television last night the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) leader admitted she endorsed the comments by former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase against equal citizenry.

@Kamlesh 1:17 PM

Whilst I'm not a SODELPA supporter because I fear the likes of the racist bible bashing biggots like Qarese could represent that party lets be fair to Ro Kepa.

Too many are playing on words at present and whilst she did not articulate that speech well at all it was not her intention to say some are more equal than others.

The reality is that all citizens, whatever colour or creed should be treated equally, but, Fiji still needs to maintain a system where the indigenous have a say over how we develop this country. Very simply as an example we do not want Fiji to turn into a Pacific China.

Religion should totally be kept out of politics simply because NO religion has a monopoly on goodness.

But what must be ensured is that the indigenous retain a right to be involved, however it is done, to decide how such things as culture, tradition and way of life for the majority is addressed for the future.

The obvious way Fiji could have progressed as the majority wanted would have been for more participation by the indigenous in education and politics but they have sat back and now moan that things are not as they want.

Perhaps the saddest thing is that here we are coming up to an election and there is not one single indigenous political representative that can string a simple sentence together of which its actual meaning is clear and is not going to be questioned.

It doesn't make sense when both
Australia & New Zealand decided
to open their doors to Fiji's illegal PM to enter & campaign
inside their democratic nations?Is
Bainimarama been shown the back-doors into the country should he
lose the election? Are the two
Government offering this treasonous military commander(Ret) a way out in case he lost it all?
Rumour has it that when the new
RFMF commander-Mosese Tikoitoga was asked by the media who he was
going to support during&after the
election,he gave the assurance
that whoever win the election that
is who the military will support?
Mosese has assured the media, that
the election will be fair to all
Fijians? Frank relationship with
the military members appears
to be quite drastic and anything could happen? Frank is also not
allowed to freely roam in Delainabua Camp? Where is AZIZ,I
havent seen this useless bozo for
quite a long time too?

@ anon 12pm

Stop saying things about Rabuka, he stood for the I-taukei whilst you were there being a cici levu at home. Fiji belongs to us fijians, not to the indians who wants to be called fijians. You came as a labourer and that you will reamin. Our ancestors loved this land, they bled for it, so stop saying shit about Rabuka because you dont have the guts t fight for your homeland and its rights.

@ Anon 2:33pm....I can say whatever I want to say about anyone as long as I don't slander the person. Fiji belongs to God and he gave you the opportunity to live on this beautiful Island. He also gave you a snake and you have been tempted to eat the sins of life with you bigotry and hate. If you are a true Fijian or itaukei, you will; 1. Be respectful of others. 2. Know your Customs and Tradition which is based on Respect for others. 3. Work hard, be truthful and honest. Now go back to the village and live and do the right thing for your self so your village can be proud of you as an individual and not as an idiot making dumb comments like Frank Bainimarama does. As the kailoma of Lautoka always says. You like Rabuka - suck him....lol..

You bled for this land, sounds bull to me.

Its more like you were drifting in your canoe which ended up in the islands called Fiji by whites.

Nobody wants your land as Indo-fijians own only about 2% of the total land.

Lot of land you gave away to whites for rooting your ladies and a box of matches.

It is sad that among so many decent natives we have morons like you.
