In the video, Captain Savenaca Siwatibau says they have been told they will be released soon. He says they are safe and have been treated well.
“Today is Tuesday the 9th of September 2014. I would like to mention to you, that it’s a very happy day.
We’ve been informed that we will be released soon and we are all very happy to be going home. By the way, we are all safe and alive and we thank Jabhat Al-Nusra for keeping us safe and keeping us alive.
I would like to assure that we have not been harmed in anyway. I deeply understand that with the limited resources that they have, they have provided the best for us and we really appreciate it and we thank you.
We are thankful that Jabhat Al-Nusra has kept its word and that we would be going home in Sha-la!
Thank you very much.”
